My mentor, MrCurwen, tought me very early that tubes are just another component. Use components for what they do best and you'll get the best results. I have a 2A3 Telemachus in the queue. It won't get built for a while though. I'm ok, just need to take it easy once in a while, lol. Yep!

I chose the regular S11’s. So, 5k load impedance to get a flatter load line and less distortion from the 300B’s.

Thanks! They’re hooked up to the output so they show the output level. Mostly for looks. They bounce to the music lol. Just means you connect the sub to high level output (speaker jacks)

The mains transformer hummed under load. I've sent it back for them to have a look at. I'll most likely not use their mains again unless I really need a custom one. That's mostly because of cost. I see little to no benefit by using those mega expensive mains. I do love their OT's though!

In all my amps I reference the heaters above ground. Meaning there's a DC bias on the heater centertap. That is done as a precaution for noise pickup and hum. Is your external heater supply AC or DC? If DC there's no problems. If AC I can reference it to DC bias.

If we use grid bias it's no longer a Citadel. The output stage in Citadel is a LTP stage with gyrator plate loads and a CCS tail. The tail has a constant current across it at all times (hence constant current source) and is what finds the proper operating point for the tube. I guess we can build...
