RIP Joseph Grado 07/05/1924-02/06/2015
Joe Grado was truly an audio pioneer and innovative designer, inventing the moving coil cartridge as one example. He will be missed by the audio industry and press, and by many who have bought and enjoyed listening to his products. RIP Joe.- PaulMah

Sorry, I don't agree. Unless you can cite examples that I can confirm, I can't believe you. But you're right, we should return on topic.- PaulMah

No, I never said that. Many people with good incomes can afford $2000 headphones. Members of this and other forums generally care about sound quality, and have a particular interest in headphone equipment. It is not a priority or interest of the super rich. How many do you know are members...- PaulMah

From asking industry people for many years about the type of person who buys the most expensive components (e.g. speakers over $100k, amps over $50k, etc.). I'm not speaking merely about the rich (i.e. millionaires) but the super-rich. I also know several people in that category who only...- PaulMah

More and more audio manufacturers are doing the trickle down approach. Perhaps Dr Fang will follow, so stay tuned. Cheers, Paul Mah- PaulMah

Unfortunately there are always some audio components priced to aim at the ultra-luxury crowd, who generally gives a rats behind about sound quality- PaulMah

I was there on Sunday for about an hour. When I wasn't listening to the system, I spoke to a couple of Head-Fiers but mostly to Fang and Peter, the marketing manager. Fang mentioned that the HE-1000 is at least two iterations of changes before entering production and the EF-1000 will also be...- PaulMah
