I just got a FiiO M3K and also own a X3 and one of my favorite things about the X3 is that I could update the themes to my liking with a firmware tool. I am wondering if the M3K has such capabilities ? Thanks Kevin

  I was actually just testing that myself .. to make sure I was not dreaming. I just loaded the factory firmware and I am finding the same thing. It always shows the File Name and not the title. And yes the artist part is fixed from the old "Unknown Artist" issue.

  I updated to the new version ... and it is working fine. But having the following issues .. and I am sure it is just me. Where can you default Resume Mode ? .. I do not see anything for it in the default.ini. Also .. how do I default the Play Thru Folders to ON ?

Just wondering .. I am using ver 3.3 Firmware, I must have been sleeping. Never found out about 3.34 Beta til today. So .. can I use all my Firmware content for 3.3 in the 3.34 Firmware ? I am going to try it .. and hope not too many things break.

Love it ... I think we need a good list theme. And this is looking good.

In that we are talking sound quality .. I must (well I don't have to but I will) .. the X3 is only marginally better than my iPhone 4s. It is a bit better in the bass department .. but overall not really. Am I disappointed .. no, cause I like the X3.  The wheelie design on the X5 / X3 II was not...

  Item 1 ... you will have to wait for FiiO ..   Item 2 can be partially fixed now. The transparent part can be made solid color using the Firmware tool that Fiio released .. I made mine black and you can read the data just fine now. I agree .. the cover art should be maybe a smaller square...

I do not know 100% for sure .. we will just have to wait and see when they are exactly for sale. However FiiO is at the International CES show starting tomorrow in Las Vegas ... I am pretty certain if there is anything new, that is where FiiO will announce / show it off and why very little has...

I heard probably February from my guy .. who is also a FiiO distributor.  So .. me, I just bought an X3 as I am not interested in the X3K.

 I had the same problem, I found that the problem was the path was not correct for what the X3 wanted. It was wrong. The X3 uses A and B drives. I just said screw it .. and put the files from my playlists in separate folders and played them like that. It really amounted to exactly the same thing...

I am using one rated at 2.4A .. and no problems.

I did already make black bars at the top and bottom with white text. I would like a little black / blue around the album art just to frame it depending on my theme color and would be even ok with a black background for the file data at the top .. just so you can see it, with the album art below...

I see that it is only a 16x16 mm square on the iPod and it does crop some of the art work too .. but the text is on the side, so it is readable. I think that they should make this editable .. so we can tweak it. The X3 has room for about a 30x30 mm square. And yes .. there is no need for custom...

Seeing as how people are talking about the album art ... I am a new X3 user and first off I love this thing.    I do understand the issues with not being able to read the song data .. but really it is a pretty minor issue. I know my music .. and really do not need to know what the song data...

I see there are 24 images in the factory firmware .. I will give that a try to see if it slows it down.   I am not very good with the graphics programs .. but in time it will probably get better.   Thanks

Here is my theme ...  it is basic but I think it gets the job done. It is for Firmware version 3.3   The themes that I changed are 2 and 5 .. the rest are the default. Let me know .. if you think there can be improvements.  ...

Hmm .. well I went in and numbered them to see what was happening .. and well egg on my face. It is working fine now. I checked and all the file sizes are the same as I would expect.   So .. it is working.
