Kinda dead thread but does anyone find HE-5 soundstage to be really big in the vertical way. I listened to a few tracks after finding a great pair with perfect wood parts and I found that many vocals were positioned above my head, I had never felt anything quite like it with headphones.

Just joined the Audeze hypetrain, got my rev 2. ones used for a crazy price  I did notice that I'm pretty familiar with the sound characteristic of LCD-2 from using HE-500 as my main headphones. Then looked into the freq. response and boom they are pretty similar

Does anyone else use this DAC with the optical connection, mine keeps on going to "unlock" screen if no sound is playing through my computer when in optical mode. The clicking sound is driving me crazy :/ Is there a way to lock the mode with some tinkering on the computer?
