dac+amp combo recommendations needed.
I'm not sure about prices in your country but I'd honestly go with Modi 3 if you're going Schiit amp anyways. If Topping is a lot cheaper, sure go with that.- Youth

Another HD 800S Amp/DAC Recommendation Thread.
If your preference is toward Schiit get a Modi 3, keep the Magni 3 and try out either Sonarworks or the free Oratory1990 EQ with APO / Peace GUI. Try that out for a while and take it from there - would be my recommendation :)- Youth

Recommendations for a summit-fi headphone
I definitely agree with you about the midrange and treble hence why I mentioned EQ, but if you're dead set on not using that then I totally understand why you'd wanna exclude this headphone from your list. Best of luck in your search.- Youth

Sennheiser HD 650 vs Beyerdynamic DT 880 & 990 vs Sennheiser HD 599
I'll be honest, I've never tried PC 360 but HD650 will work just fine for gaming despite what some people claim and they are great for music as well. Imaging is much, much more important than soundstage for gaming and HD650 does a very good job at that. If you want mids you can cross out the...- Youth

I'd recommend EQ'd HD800/S although that would not meet your 4th criteria.- Youth

Time for proper headphones this time
DT150 fits your description although they do require an amplifier. As it is with most headphones, some people find them comfortable and some don't.- Youth

Price increase of the HD800S over the HD800 worth it?
There's no stores nearby where you can try out the HD800 and bring your own Jotunheim? Also, since you seem to really want to try it out, it might be worth it to try and hunt down a used HD800 for a good price. That way if it doesn't work out you can resell it with minimal losses and gain some...- Youth

Price increase of the HD800S over the HD800 worth it?
Everyone who owns both HD800 and Jotunheim warns about that particular pairing (even modded) so I personally wouldn't risk it unless you're content about possibly reselling it. But then again, what everyone thinks doesn't always correlate to your own experiences. As always it's best to try out...- Youth

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
As long as the cable isn't broken there's no need to throw money out the window although, for some people, that is the side effect of joining this hobby.- Youth

HE400i - good upgrade?
Wait, what? @LogicSound If you want our help to find a more suitable headphone for you, then you need to let us know how you feel about your current one. Pros and cons as well as any changes you would like to see. Audiophile hifi sound is a pretty vague guideline for us to go by - Youth

Should i get HD800 or HD800S for my Sony ZH1ES?
If you feel like HD800 needs "taming" I'd suggest skipping it and go with the HD800S or something else instead.- Youth

Hot and Neutral Headphones
I don't see how this is gonna help you in any way as you haven't given any reference to what like or dislike. You're basically just asking people if they like said headphones, but that won't help determine if they are gonna suit you.- Youth

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
While I generally find HD650 to be smooth I don't think they are as much as some people make them out to be. The upper mids and grain is a limiting factor - at least for me.- Youth
