I got them both today. First I want to say that the only reason I have took V-MODA instead of M50X was the price, as V-MODA was on a short sale for a £49.99 which looked like a great deal to me.  Backbeat Pro surprised me, I didn't expect such a great sound, I assume I really did overestimate...

Thanks for replies! I decided to buy V-MODA Crossfade LP from amazon to test them out, as the deal was for £49.99. I will compare them with Plantronics and then will decide which ones to keep. Should receive them tomorrow and will update the thread with my decision.
