I agree, the DAC is extremely resolving and I'd imagine you'd have to spend a good chunk of change to even hear a small percentage increase in detail.

  It is indeed a great combo! to answer your question both the headphones and amp are standard factory color. Senn does a great job on the design and quality of their products!

I got my pair of Jmoney pads from headroom about two weeks ago and have this same problem.    One pad is made perfectly and the other looks like it was sat on. Overall I decided to keep them for what they are, since im pretty content with the sound change they made on my headphones.

I find closed headphones to be better with this genre, you might want to look into those.

I don't see why there should be, only compression affects sound quality so I don't see how transferring a complete compressed file from one drive to another could affect SQ.

I used an emu 0404 dac/amp combo for 5 months to fire up my Grado cans which were a pair of Sr-60's(32ohms) at the time and was satisfied with the overall sound and headroom coming from the emu, that is until I purchased a used corda headfive amp here which unfortunately lead to a horrible chain...

Funk and rock are perfect for the RS-2, it has more refinement and instrument separation then the 325i/225i so if you liked those you'll love the RS-2i.
