Polaris is probably the most recommended for these, and a reason i bought mine, loved it ever since, a nice warm tubey sound without tubes (thinking of getting a Ember anyway) and just the ability to change settings right on top is so cool, and it looks nice with the aluminum case.

before i switched to the greatest pads for 400i ever, i used a pet lint roller and/or tape to get the dust bunnies and white crap off, carefully though since my stock pads were crappy

for those that like DnB and listen on the 400i's ive come up with a nice playlist of the darker and heavier stuff over on Spotify, these arent the best headphones for this genre but it doesnt sound bad at all~

Is there ANY pads that are easy to install with the mounting ring? I bought Brainwavz angled leather's and so far i have failed getting the ring into them, they are oval and not round, i have snapped the ring by bending it and pushing at same time, and still didnt get it in, ive spent 30mins...

my stock pads pleather is peeling and popping out of the cup rim :( had them for 5 or 6 months, ive got the new 2.5mm version, is it hard to replace pads on these? i'm not well experienced with maintenance on headphones.
