I started using "optical out" port of AK120 and met an issue. Whenever I change an album, the optical out stops working.  I have to unplug and plug back the optical cable to make optical out work, which is really annoying.  Does anybody know how to solve this problem?  I want to keep the cable...

That is true.  However, as long as you set the volume of the source to 50% or less, DAC works fine too. I am using this amp every day and I enjoy it more and more. 

What phone do you use with EF2C? I have used Senn HD650. But I realized that bass response is kind of weak. I tried DT1350 and I hear punchy bass. Clarity is better too. I guess 300 ohm is too much for EF2 to handle. The problem of DT1350 is that I can wear it long time because of tension.  ...

My E11k can drive DT1350 (80 Ohm) and HD650 (300 Ohm). Sensitivity of the cans also matter. But I don't think M50s is harder to drive HD650.     First, if you select low gain with E11k, please try to set it to high. Low gain of E11k actually lowers volume than the source. Second, get an LOD...

Actually I moved the current switch couple of times just to hear the effect, when the power is ON. I was not aware of the warning :( It appears that it didn't make any damage so far though. I feel that I am lucky ;)

I tried couple of portable headphone amps with AK120. My cans are DT1350, which has 80 ohm of impedance.  There is some benefit through the amps.  I can hear more punches.  But the sound directly from AK120 is the most clear.  Now I am back to AK120 + DT1350 and no others, as like my profile...

Yes. It does. It appears that Line Out of AK120 EQ is just setting the volume to the max of 75 and keeping it at the max.

Nice review. It addresses my complaints well. Those are the reasons that I am waiting for a next version of B1, even though I like it a lot as it is.  

That's right. Due to the rubber bands, the screen doesn't touch the surface even though it faces down ;) So no worries. 

Well. If the B1 and a DAP face back to each other, one of them needs to face down, if you put them flat :) I don't worry too much about scratch because I don't move them around.

It is iPod video. In this picture, yes. The iPod is face down. I use AK120 or iPod with B1. Both in the same layout. I will put more pictures tonight, when I get home.
