Can i get some advise on amp.. I am currently using a NFB-15.32 for my HE-560, but it seems that there is peaky highs in some recordings. Would it smooths the highs to no-peak-at-all if i get another amp. I am thinking about either EF-100 or Lyr 2. Both seem to be good pairing, arent they? Or...

    I believe it is different from the one on the first page. The white one has those 2 size holes but the black one is just 1 big size hole (beaded). What s the name of the white one? Like what types of liner those are?

HD700's high is different from hd800, it is not fully under control type so... well you bought it anyway, so you will know. Another thing you can do is eq the hd700 if you cant stand the high

  get a audio-gd 15, 250 USD, warm and emotional sounding plus wide soundstage and punchy bass. oh and change it to OS 4 filter 1 as this is the best for hd700. You can also consider anax mod, it is not like day and night difference but the highs are smoothened a bit if you really intensively...

Then one possibility is just the file was not orignal ape direct compressed from cd or original recording but still 320 is like sky and floor from flac

  Thats BS. Even if with ape and 24bit flac and 24bit wav, there is so much difference. might not be able to blindly tell between flac and wav but ape is so different. The bass and soundstage is much less with ape, try to download same song in ape and flac, you should be easily tell...
