Thinking about getting a new IEM (Under $100)
Necro-threading... I just ordered another Narmoo S1 after mine took a trip through the laundry. If you hurry there's one set left on Amazon btw, now that I have a zillion hours on my Shures I do love them in a way I never thought I would and am considering starting a harassment campaign to...- AlrightMister

Best cheap IEM?
For sleeping I don't want anything with deep insertion or that sticks out too far, or that costs much because I will trash them tossing and turning. I want light, cheap, and low-profile earbuds so I sleep with Apple EarPods and my iPod nano every night. I replace them about every 3 months but...- AlrightMister

Bluetooth hands free adapter for wired headphones
I think you'd be better off finding some clip-on earphones with mic/remote cable than using one of those adapters. I'm betting on frustrating battery life issues and possibly low volume.- AlrightMister

In-ears that sound like AKG K701 or Q701
Sony MDR-7550, it is neutral and detailed and has poor isolation due to its ported design. I think some people tape over the ports. Cable is long but replaceable.- AlrightMister

How comfortable is to "change" from IE Headphones (Sennheiser IE80) to Over the Ear Headphones (Beyerdynamic T51i)? Need some advice!
You can buy a remote/mic cable for the IE80, the cable is removeable. Some full size cans are very comfortable. AKG K7XX are like wearing next to nothing. As far as wearing them everywhere, no thanks. They're huge open headphones. IEMs for out and about.- AlrightMister

T10i is way too bass heavy for what you're looking for. Vsonic VC1000 is another one to look at.- AlrightMister

Looking for a headphone and a portable amp
If you're keen on the D1 take advantage of the audition. Bear in mind that the output impedance is high and will be undesirable if in the future you decide to pick up some more sensitive cans/IEMs, D1 outputs 12mw at 300 ohms. Magni 2 puts out 260mw at 300 ohms and has output impedance of less...- AlrightMister

Nothing easy without cost: network powerline adapters
I would try something like this. http://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-LC1200-Conditioner-Outlet/dp/B0000512LA/ Plug your PC into it but the powerline adapter will have to go straight into the wall or it will not work. What kind of throughput are you getting with your adapters? Western Digital...- AlrightMister

One is better than two? RE-400/GR07 All-Rounder? OR 2 Cheaper pairs
RE-400 does not have a great reputation for durability I'm afraid. People who buy overlook that in light of its reputation for sounding great. I have seen people recommend those concerned with breaking them to just go ahead and buy two. I realize that would bust your budget but from your post I...- AlrightMister

Looking for a headphone and a portable amp
D1 is a DAC and amp. I don't see published power output specs so I can't comment on if it can power the DT990's 250ohm load. I have heard praise for it but I never did any research on it because I never considered buying one. I'm sure you can find that info here or on youtube...- AlrightMister

Looking for a headphone and a portable amp
DT990's are nice cans. I don't think you will regret it if you blow your budget on a desktop DAC and amp for them now. You can get a closeout Schiit Modi DAC for $79, Magni 2 for $99, usb and rca cables on Amazon or Monoprice for a tenner. I'm happy with my usb Modi and don't feel the need to...- AlrightMister

Looking for a headphone and a portable amp
Because what billybob said is true. The majority buy, enjoy, and don't review. But I have come across members that run around 1 starring things for no good reason. The default display for a product category in the HEAD GEAR section is 'Highest Rated'. With so few reviews the 1 star hotheads...- AlrightMister

Looking for a headphone and a portable amp
Well said and I agree. I think more users on head-fi should write reviews, myself included. There are 1 star fools here too. What about the Aune B1? Looks interesting but not a ton of feedback on it yet. Feel like taking one for the team satpak? It has ALL 5 star reviews on Amazon...- AlrightMister

Looking for a headphone and a portable amp
His post said "latest reviews". There are two 1 star reviews in the past 10 months. One was either user error or a DOA. I just don't think that's relevant enough to scare someone away from a solid value and a great first portable amp. I agree there are some worthwhile reviews on Amazon it is...- AlrightMister

Looking for a headphone and a portable amp
Have you read the reviews on head-fi? Those two 1 star reviews on Amazon are meaningless to me. Why are you limiting yourself to a portable amp? Since you said you will use the DT990's primarily at home have you considered a Schiit stack for ~$200 and some good cheapish IEMs for your phone...- AlrightMister

Looking for a headphone and a portable amp
Do you need all the extra features or do you just need a portable amp? If you need an amp the Cayin C5 or Fiio E12 are better than the E3. Drop from list. E12 is recommended because there really is no competition at the price. I think I paid $110 for mine. Amp section in E3 can not compare.- AlrightMister

Have I damaged my IM70s?
No damage done. Likely not much burn in either. If you're going to burn in it should be at a click or two above your loudest comfortable listening level. It will be considerably higher than 10%. If you are hearing background noise or hiss for a second or two after pausing that is the delay...- AlrightMister

Compare Contrast Help (under $200) IEM
I think you can cross the A71 off your list. You won't find the soundstage or crisp clear hi-hats you are looking for there. They have their fans but are a bit of a let down to me. Heavy in the mid-bass, they do have excellent note thickness but I don't find any other standout qualities and find...- AlrightMister
