After more extensive tweaking on Neutron, I still ended up using CanOpener as a preferred player as it sounds more balanced in my setup. To each its own I guess.... Fwiw, I prefer a warmer sound overall, which may lend to why I still ended up as such....

Thanks. I'll go back and try Neutron again with those settings as a reference. While results may also be headphone dependent, I'm sure it would serve as a good starting point for further tweaking.
