Go with the bowls. the comfies muffle up the sound too much and get really warm after a while. Other popular pads would be the senn 414 pads and todd flats. Do a search on this and u'll get a much faster answer. Don't be lazy. =(

Give it to your cousin. Spread the love. Anyway, if you really wanna try out the k27P, you can always borrow from him. After the e500 and e4c, the k27Ps wouldn't be any interesting to you now... even my UM1 blows the K27P away by miles!

Well, the quarter + reverse mod does make quite a big difference if you ask me. But the thing is, the mod just makes it sound different, not necessary better. I still prefer using the bowl pads though. Better mids and soundstage IMHO.

UM1 for me. Details and accuracy aside, it's the best deal you can get for an IEM in terms of enjoyment vs price ratio. If I want better sound quality, i'd go for fuller sized headphones.

As headphones is a very subjective matter, one man's meat may be another's poison. Yea you may pay a bit more for a new headphones and "get a peace of mind for 3 years" but what if you don't like them?? Sell em? If that's the case, it's much more economical to experiment with used headphones...

if it's too good to be true, it probably is. I can't read korean as well but at only USD6, it's well worth buying, even if it's not the cx300 but some other canal phones.

Not trying to spoil your day here, but as far as universal fit IEMs go, I haven't heard one which even come close to the Grado SR80 at least in terms of sound signature. Higher ends IEMs may be able to give you sweet sounding mids, highs and a decent bass but none has the crisp, sparkling highs...

I'd go with the UM1 if i were u. For only a little more $ (compared to cx300), you get much better isolation n sound quality
