USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android
Onkyo Granbeat. Finally, we are enjoying the internal DACs to the utmost. Great sound that beats the stock player. Although in Library tabs the ticks would not stay after the OK button, so it is impossible to choose what tabs you will have. Even re-installed the app to no avail.- mediabox

Onkyo DP-CMX1 GRANBEAT | Dual Dac | Balanced | Phone DAP
Good news. UAPP has added the support for the Sabre DAC which means that our piece is on the list as well. Tried it briefly. IMO, sounds very potent, including the perfect bit option. Highly recommended. From the sibling thread ONKYO DP-X1 Post #15536 of 15536 IronFly New Head-Fier Joined...- mediabox

JVC HA-FW01 - The New Top End Wood Driver IEM (2017)
I read your review with interest. I am also keeping an eye on these cables. The dilemma is the Orpheus MK5 or Zeus for the FW01? Now I am using the origiaal cable, which is (copper I guess) actually not bad, through the balanced output with a little cable converter (Onkyo Granbeat). Your thoughts?- mediabox

We all own a piece manufactured exclusively for the Japanese (and some part of Asian) market. And there are no plans for expansion. So, it is built accordingly to the local aesthetics and demands. Outside this paradigm, whether one likes it or not is personal and does not matter at all...- mediabox

JVC HA-FW01 - The New Top End Wood Driver IEM (2017)
So what is your verdict on these two. I want to give a go to the zeus (a 4-wire version for portable use), but the orpheous also might be an option as I heard a few good things about it. I'll be using them balanced with the Onkyo Granbeat. I tried a couple of low-cost Japanese balanced cables on...- mediabox

The first light-wound victim. This little yellow metal ring of the 2.5mm input fell off. I do not know how. Luckily, it didn't vanish, and I found it on the floor. Will re-glue it later today. On a more cheerful note, out of interest I installed the Pioneer music app. Slightly different...- mediabox

I am using this adapter for the 3.5mm headphones, no problem, and with very good results. Also you can read comments on the relevant page. 5 stars and everybody's happy. One guy owns our sibling - a DP-X1.- mediabox

I was referring to this comment in particular which is an off-top. Quote: I see, what phone are you using? However, I do not see how the "negative" debate can be useful for the current and perspective owners. If Granbeat is not for one for any reason, why should we bother to know...- mediabox

These are a very capable piece of IEM with mic if you need one on the go. Clear, plenty of bass and treble, huge soundstage, lacking a bit of mids. A satisfying synergy by Pioneer SE-CH9T. It also has a little brother for half the price. Both are just out.- mediabox

Confirm the glitch. But when you are too far to "narrow" the warning sign appears that there might be a problem with the sound if you carry on. Trial and error thing, depending on the DSD size, I think. "Normal" plays well on all DSDs, including the 11,2 MHz ones.- mediabox

After a month with the Granbeat I can say that it ticks all the boxes for me. I use it primarily as a DAP on the go and I am very happy with it. I do not have a professional musical ear, and for me the main criteria are presence and realism. This is where the Onkyo piece excels in every...- mediabox

Dignis is more expensive (with delivery) as well and there is no protective glass. But it is a matter of taste though. The Onkyo carbon pattern cover is only 0.6 mm thick and weighs just 15 g too. Looks interesting as they claim it offers a very safe protection.- mediabox
