Want to upgrade from O2+ODAC for LCD-2.2F

Well Planars actually are known to sound better when louder, so they do sound better. It isn't a real tonal change though, they just sound more open and life-like.

Want to upgrade from O2+ODAC for LCD-2.2F

Awesome. I'll just stay with the O2+ODAC then.

Want to upgrade from O2+ODAC for LCD-2.2F

It can get very loud (haven't turned it all the way up because I don't want to damage my hearing), and I haven't heard any distortion at comfortable listening levels or even when it's lowder than what I normally have it at. Does this mean it's properly driven and I don't need an upgrade?

Want to upgrade from O2+ODAC for LCD-2.2F

Yea I have the combo from Mayflower. If price isn't an issue, why should I get the Lyr over the Mjolnir? Also, if my O2 makes the LCD-2s loud enough for me at halfway on the volume knob, do I really need a more powerful amp? Or are they still not being driven to their full potential even though...

Want to upgrade from O2+ODAC for LCD-2.2F

I want to eventually upgrade from my O2+ODAC for my LCD-2 to the Schiit Mjolnir to use balanced XLR output, but I don't have the money to pair that with a Gungnir. Does getting an equivalent DAC make that much of a difference, or could I just pair the Mjolnir with a Modi 2 or Loki and not notice...

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

The Noble website isn't loading for me on my mobile Android devices. It's saying there's a redirect loop and the URL just has /m/m/m/m/m/m/ at the end of it. Is this happening for anyone else?

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

If I decide to take the universal route, are there any good tips you would recommend? Do the ones that Noble supplies with the K10 universals provide the proper isolation, or is there a good pair of triple flange, comply, etc. That I should get? I'm just looking for best isolation and least loss...

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

I believe you can just have them refit for yourself for the $250. Only being able to do it if you sold them wouldn't make much sense

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

Well that's awesome, thanks for the reply! So because I'm currently, 16 you think I'd need a refit at 17 and one 18 too? Or would I be fine with getting only one when I'm 18?

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

I heard you can get them to fit every time by inserting them properly (opening your mouth, pulling the top of your ear upwards, twisting in, and closing your mouth). In regards to age, I'm 16. I contacted Noble through their website and Brannan replied. He told me that I might only have to get...

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

Awesome. I've never really given a **** about IEMs until I found out about the K10s, so I don't really know what to look for in tips. How should I choose which ones I get if the ones that Noble provides don't provide the proper fit and seal?

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

HA-2 sounds like the better option because it'll save space if the amp and DAC are combined (I'm looking for portable, not a brick). And when you say "run down" do you mean battery life? If so, I don't really have a problem with that as I have a portable charger that I've never found use for...

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

I'm about to pick up some K10s with a Leckerton Audio UHA-6S.MKII (with AD8620 OP Amp + Low gain IEM mod) and my LG G3 smartphone as a source. Is there any better option in the below $300 range for a DAP or portable amp+DAC? Also, what benefits of the customs are lost when choosing to go the...

Amp + DAC combo for LCD-2 on a $600 budget?

So just get that with no DAC (or at least until I can get an ODAC)? This won't be a portable setup. Strictly at-home with these LCD-2s. My portable setup (and currently my main) is a pair of Allen & Heath Xone XD2-53's + Fiio E11. One of the best DJ headphones around, actually. Not very well...

Amp + DAC combo for LCD-2 on a $600 budget?

Title says it all. Getting a new audio setup for my new PC build and I'll be getting the LDC-2s. I have $600 (I can go a little above but not too much) for amp and DAC. What would take the best advantage of these cans for the price? If it matters I listen to a lot of fast rock/metal, rap, and...

Good Amp + DAC for Audeze LDC-2?

CS:GO has a "Headphone" option that can be used in place of Dolby

Good Amp + DAC for Audeze LDC-2?

I'm going to be getting the LCD-2 and I need a good amp + DAC combo to go with them. I don't really have a budget but I'd like to spend as little as possible while being able to take full advantage of the LCD-2s. I don't know if it matters, but here's what I'll be using the headphones for (from...

Amps that can drive the HiFiMan HE-6 planar headphones

Ok let's say I have $600 to spend on an amp and DAC for the HE-6, or just amp alone (computer I'll be building has good onboard audio). What should I get?

Amps that can drive the HiFiMan HE-6 planar headphones

Canadian411 I've rethought that decision and I'm gonna go with the HE-6. I'm just trying to find a good amp for it now. Will the Schiit Lyr2 drive the HE-6 well?

Amps that can drive the HiFiMan HE-6 planar headphones

Ok if I do go with the HE-6, for an amp should I go for an emotiva mini-x, schiit lyr 2, or the hifiman ef5?
