I have the sandisk clip zip with m100 for now but need a dac and possibly a better mp3 player. I listen to Electronic Drumstep/Chillstep and some pop like jason mraz and james blunt i almost bought the x5 what do you guys think? will my headphones tell the difference?

yes overkill but would it improve the sound a bit? and still wondering if note 3 with dac will sound better than just clip zip or even clip zip with amp?
