    Onkyo DP-S1 Rubato / Pioneer XDP-30R Private

Quick question all... I can not update the firmware on my device no matter what I try. I tried over the air and from the SD card and it will not show anything. I am wondering if there is a trick or bug fix for this issue.

Can i buy just buy a hd 650 and schitt stack considering it endgame for forget about everyting else?

You should look at getting a pair of CIEM's as well. There are a few guys who are real good at making them in their garage and they use the same driver package as CIEM's costing thousands. I got a pair for about $300 and they sound amazing!

Hello All!  I was wondering if anyone had issues with the battery?  I charged my Mojo on Friday and its dead by Monday morning after being in my bag all weekend. Best Smartphone for audiophile

Hello all! I have a dragonfly and a Mojo but need to make my setup more portable.  Currently I have them connected to my MacBook as the source. But need to find a cheap Android phone to act as a host for my files and to use for streaming.    Any recommendations?

I think allot of them are using this package right here:   http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/GK-31732-000/423-1188-ND/4030114   It is a triple driver with the crossover built in. All you have to do is put them in a shell and solder the leads and you have a killer set of IEM's!  ...

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)

No I used to think the same thing but realized when you can source the parts, there is only about $90 worth of parts even in a $1000 IEM.  The difference now is that the Chinese have focused on this market and just like Rolex watches will reverse engineer the $1000 model or the $500 model...

My UE TripleFi 10's finally died and I need an equal or better replacement IEM....

Why not send them into InEarz and have them made into CIEM's?   They do a ton of UE T-10 rebuilds.

Is there resheling service for IEMs that employs 3D printing and digital ear impression?

To be honest the best fitting pair I have I made myself with the putty!

Is there resheling service for IEMs that employs 3D printing and digital ear impression?

Correct. UE is using a very very expensive machine and since they are charging a premium they can do it.  I think since Knowles and Sonion are making their drivers available on sites like Mouser and Digikey you will see a bunch of smaller shops open soon.     You can already find exact copies...

Is there resheling service for IEMs that employs 3D printing and digital ear impression?

The device to create the "Point Cloud" inside your ear is super expensive. The 3D printers are cheaper but does not create a nice glossy finish. Most people are dipping them after printing them to create the nice smooth finish.    There are places who will 3D print them from an ear mold.

Shure e215 still the best in their price range?

Better build quality no but sound yes. There are several Chinese models with better sound. VSonic GR07 / Those **** 4 in 1 come close as well for about 1/2 the cost.

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)

The SE215 are built very very well. But from a musical standpoint there are several Chinese models that sound much better albeit at a lower level of overall build quality.    You are going to see some killer models using BA coming from China. Im talking about $100-$200 models that will...

Absolute Best DAP <$500 - used or new

High end Android based DAP is the future. People are using their own libraries via PLEX and buying new stuff with Amazon/Google Music and the ability to add a memory card is just a plus.    Think "private music servers"  Android makes this possible.
