Fiio k7 non-BT would do well, as i use it now, but i had fiio k5 pro also, but never tested with Sundara, but i am guessing k5 pro would have done plenty for those cans, juicy enough DAC

Balanced 3.5mm X 2 to 2.5mm cable of Philips Fidelio x3 doesn't fit Sundara, lol, only 1 earcup is playing out of 2, it's just Philips, wiring their 3 metre balanced cable just for x3.. PS. Ran well with Fiio BTR7 in 3.5mm socket, same with Steelseries GameDAC gen2, which is delivering 150mw...

i even boosted low freqs in AIMP3, and heavenly lows are even more heavenly, metal songs sound addictive as hell, i was thinking do we even need anything better than what Sundara is able to display during listening?

well just got sundara and is a freaking insane headphone, compared to hd560s or anything i had before, paired with k7, and not even balanced, it's insane, heavenly lows and clean vocals, instrument separation, very perfect for rock/metal too, thinking i am getting same non-fatiguing listening...

joined Sundara club, with Sundaras won for 156 GBP on ebay, "i will stop buying headphones..", can't wait for them to be at my address for Fiio K7

the only thing i didn't like that Aliexpress selling US rom v60s, and even with european ROM flashed as A13, 5G network doesn't fully unlock, also USB-C is dodgy, but you can still find some cable on ebay, which will help charge it, and quite fast, other than that, i loved camera, 5000mah heavy...

hm, first morning i woke up 6.35 mm socket with 3.5mm adapter didn't produce sound at any volume while rotating knob, is this that bug in my unit you mentioned in your post? The only way i got sound was by going from Hi to Lo GAIN, and removing headphones from 6.35mm and using 4.4mm to 2.5mm...

Slowly i start realise that x3 is mostly taking space in my drawer, rather than being unique in my headphones list, hmm, he400se is an interesting recommendation for sure, worth to find it on sale! I think x3 was an impulsive buy by being curious, but not essential enough, hehe

Hm, did the balanced move with hd560s, and held off buying 660s, still considering, not sure which one better, balanced or balanced, but in fps games i love hd560s in balanced mode a lot, great positional awareness

i like x2hr for music a lot, especially for that low end, and they are great for rock and metal, but started to like them less for gaming, once i got x3 and hd560s. I tend to pick x2hr for gaming much less now, they okay, but x3 and 560s seems more clear, more spacious, easier for pinpointing...

once 4.4mm adapter arrives, i will test that with x3 and 560s too.

ma900 + fiio k7, a fairly sensible combo, big soundstage, good instruments separation, enjoyable vocal clarity, could listen all day to this

Received it, been testing all day using AIMP3 player @ WASAPI @ 48khz @ non-balanced mode with dark jazz, trip-hop, post black metal, many songs with lots of instruments, clean and harsh vocals: got spaciousness+lots of details in sound+warmth+clear vocals+soft kick drum, nothing drowned out or...

Not a specialist in fix of this.. I am still hesitant of touching anything inside the cups after during all these 10 years, desoldering/resoldering, hhh, just to remove that one resistor in order to improve sound a bit. Gonna get Fiio K7 DAC soon, will test MA900 with it, but i doubt i will spot...
