X1 Custom Firmwares You can scroll through the pages to see some of the past themes people have created, but only the last page or two have updated themes for the 2.0 firmware. Also, FiiO has their own forum on their site and people have posted themes there, as well.- ccfixx

Official X1 stable firmware discussion thread--version 2.0: Added library search function, Recently Played playlist, ReplayGain
For a dedicated music player that only costs $100, some people really expect a lot, it seems. You can't expect a DAP for that price to do everything you want, nor can you expect the manufacturer to satisfy everyone's software update requests. Also, for around $100, you can go buy the xDuuo X3... -

For the X1, I think it depends on how often you're going to be switching back and forth from the headphone output and line output. You may find it to be annoying and tedious to have to go into the settings each time to make the switch. I mainly use my X1 as a DAP in my car (Kia Soul) so...- ccfixx

FiiO X5 2nd gen Impressions and Discussion thread
Here's a frequency chart that shows where most instruments fall within the frequency range. http://www.independentrecording.net/irn/resources/freqchart/main_display.htm Adjust accordingly. The lower frequencies are the left-hand sliders below 500Hz. Sliding those up will increase your...- ccfixx

XDuoo X3 DSD 24Bit / 192KHz CS4398 Chip Lossless Music Player
Thanks. That's exactly what I did. I just contacted them via chat to ask them about the discount. Then, they had me place the order without paying. Once the pay options screen came up, I gave customer service the order number and they then sent me an e-mail with a link for the price...- ccfixx

Do you have anymore details? Do we need to contact them for the discounted price before ordering? Will they verify that someone is a member or will they just take someone's word for it? Thanks.- ccfixx

The FiiO X3 2nd gen (ex X3K, X3II) Thread : 192K/24B, CS4398,Native DSD, USB DAC with LO and inline remote
I'm pretty sure there have been some custom themes posted throughout this thread, but FiiO has their own thread, as well, that may or may not have a custom theme section for the X3ii. I know that their are custom theme threads over there for the other devices, so I would imagine you might...- ccfixx

Just yesterday, the SanDisk 200GB cards were only $59.95 on Amazon, which is why there's a delay for the delivery now. Also, Adorama price-matched Amazon's price for the SanDisk cards, as well. I would suggest to start following SlickDeals, if you don't already.- ccfixx

First question...Is your X1 on FW 1.6? There were improvements made to the wheel scrolling response. http://www.head-fi.org/t/781372/official-x1-stable-firmware-discussion-thread-version-1-6-greatly-improved-scroll-wheel-response- ccfixx

Not too sure, to be honest. Once I started re-ripping all of my CD collection a couple of years ago using both dBpoweramp and JRiver Media Center, I just made the decision to tag all of my "The [blank]" artists as "Beatles, The." I know JRiver will allow you to ignore articles such as "a...- ccfixx

I believe that's the whole point of Line Out. It's there to provide a clean, flat source of the audio out to an amp or EQ of your choosing.- ccfixx

Official X1 stable firmware discussion thread--version 2.0: Added library search function, Recently Played playlist, ReplayGain
You should just be able to hit play on the first song of the first album folder and it will play through all of the other folders in the listed song order if you have the option to play through the folders selected in the settings. The hierarchy setup example on my player would be... -

The root of the card is the top level when you first look into the directory of a memory card. It just means don't put the file into a folder or anything like that.- ccfixx

Non-sealed bluetooth earbuds
While a bit pricey (MSRP $129.99), I've had nothing but great results using the Plantronics BackBeat FIT headphones while running. They're over-the-ear, though, so they may not meet the OP's criteria of fitting under the helmet, but mine have held up quite well for almost a year now. I even...- ccfixx

The release of FiiO X1's new firmware FW1.3
I'm sure that FiiO is spending a lot of time and resources currently on the newly released X3ii and X5ii models. They'll get back to the X1 soon enough, I'm sure. -

Question about X1 firmware and capacity
Unfortunately, the shuffle feature on the X1 isn't very good, in my opinion. I have about 1500 FLAC files on my card, and the X1 seems to only play about the same ~200 or less songs multiple times before throwing in one of the many other songs at random. It's been like this for me on all of...- ccfixx

Have you tried the custom theme created by TCD1975, yet? That may help with your selection issue. If not, you can always revert back to the original firmware. http://www.head-fi.org/t/749000/x1-custom-firmwares/30#post_11346158- ccfixx

Audio Technica ATH-M50X vs Sennheiser HD 558
For your first question, with some forums it's inherent that you reach a number of posts in other threads before being allowed to start a new thread. This cuts down on spam threads being started. I'm not quite sure what the post count is here before you can create a thread, but you can do a...- ccfixx

BlueTooth Sports In-Ears Recommendations
Not the BackBeat Go 2, but I've been using the Plantronics BackBeat FIT about five days per week since August of last year with no issues. I was able to get it new off eBay for just under $70, which was about $20-30 cheaper than elsewhere. Prior to that, I had just used a couple of other...- ccfixx

Terminologies that I can't get quite right, please help D:
Like jodgey4 said, you want to search for "earbuds" or "ear buds." The Headphone List has a lot of good information on the different types and styles, if you take the time to read through it. http://theheadphonelist.com/earphone-fit-guide/- ccfixx
