Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I am just now implementing some new features in fortran. It is still widely used especially in the research community. It is still the best and fastest language if you are working with big arrays and computations on them. That being said computer science is a very young science compared to...

Yeh, the ability to choose what kind of switches I wanted was the biggest reason why I chose the ergo dox. I also happen to like the split design. Used a microsoft keyboard that was split for several years. Does wonders for your touch typing. Another cool thing with the ergo dox is the ability...

Clears are the best for typing imo. The "new" green ones are apparently also very nice if you like the old IBM keyboards.

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I would just like to say that I really love this story, as well as all the small additions in between. Its amazing how much better I feel about a company that is this honest and transparent. Honesty is unfortunately in short demand among big companies, not to mention governments. It really...

I think I might have to replace my magni with something a bit hotter. The magni doesn't quite have the juice to keep my coffee warm.

Closed Headphones that Sound like HD650?

I guess finding a closed back 650 is a tall order, I will probably enjoy a different headphone more anyway. And I'll just have to settle for a different sound at work. Also it might make me apriciate the HD650s in a new way, Having listened to something else all day. Would you say they are in...

Closed Headphones that Sound like HD650?

Is that the only difference between the DT150 and DT250? The resistance?   nm, found out on the Beyer webpage: http://europe.beyerdynamic.com/shop/dt-150.html vs. http://europe.beyerdynamic.com/shop/dt-250.html

Closed Headphones that Sound like HD650?

So, after having read more of that thread, I am very tempted to just get these, They are very cheap I would say if they deliver what it looks like from the impressions.

Closed Headphones that Sound like HD650?

I have demoed both the viso hp50 and the momentums, And although they both sound pretty good I don't think they come close to what my HD650s delivers.  The beyer dt150 sounds interesting, Can't find them at a local store though, so no chance to demo them. And altough I don't really worry much...

Closed Headphones that Sound like HD650?

I am in the same boat. Have the HD650s and I love the sound. But the leak a bit too much for office use, So I am looking for something that sounds similar but doesnt leak as much which means closed. Is there something in the sub $500 range that does that. What about the sennheiser 380 pros...

Dear gentlemen, please help me to find decent amp ($400) for my Sennheiser HD 650

I am not sure about a dac with both optical and usb, but you could get a magni as an amp at least. I am very happy with mine with the HD650.  As for the dac, a modi could be a solution. It comes with either usb or optical though, not both. If you go for the modi / magni combo they only cost 99$...

Dual Headphone PC Home Theatre Setup (Help Needed)

I would suggest splitting the signal before the amp(s). and simply buying two separate amps. The schiit magni for instance is a good value cheap amp (99$) and buy two will allow you to have separate volume for 2 headphones. The magni can drive almost any headphone as well.

Figured I'd get on the schiit train as well. Ordered the entry level magni and modi combo. And got a pair of Senn HD650s on the way as well. Can't wait to get it. Will hopefully be a nice improvement over my current Fiio E07 -> PSB M4U2 :)

Good gaming headsets? (Good bass and descent mic quality)

I have both the sennheiser pc360 and the qpad qh-90 They are both very good gaming headsets, the sennheiser being slightly better imo. Also more expensive though.  Beware they are both open and have next to no isolation. Because of this I bought the qh-90(closed version of the qh-85) for him...
