Audeze Penrose X and Penrose
Did anyone ever find a solution to the mic sounding very distant? For some reason I go through days where it sounds fine, but then a week where friends complain that I sound like I’m on the other side of the room. I’ve updated the firmware, adjusted the mic location and gain but nothing seems to...- MoonGred

Audeze Penrose X and Penrose
Does Xbox party chat put any filters on your mic audio? I used the mic for the first time yesterday and got some pretty immediate feedback that it sounded like I was talking through a tin can. Made some quick recordings via voice recorder on windows and it sounds completely fine to me. Both...- MoonGred

Audeze Penrose X and Penrose
For what it's worth I also reached out to Audeze and got Jimmy. His response was verbatim that of @Avean. His original email said it wasn't compatible, then followed it up by saying that it will work via the controller, but not via the dongle.- MoonGred

Audeze Penrose X and Penrose
This is what I can't get my head around, would they really sell 2 different headphones at the same price, where one supports more platforms that the other. I guess the Artic 7x is just that, so it's not unheard of. I'll take the punt and hope that impressions trickle out before I receive my...- MoonGred

Audeze Penrose X and Penrose
So what is the real risk with ordering a Penrose X when wanting to use it on a Ps5 as well. Is it just that voice chat might not work, or is there an actual chance that the entire headset won't work. I'm tempted to get it at the pre-order pricing but the local distributor in AU (addicted to...- MoonGred

Did any of you order through Ibasso directly? I placed my order Thursday morning and paid via paypal (received my paypal receipt), but haven't received any update since, not even an email acknowledging my order.- MoonGred

Fender IEM (Aurisonics) Impressions, Reviews & Discussions Thread
Yea there really aren't any issues with the build quality apart from what Jmills has already said, but even that seems to be more of a connector issue as opposed to a Fender quality problem. Fender's after care support is pretty great as well so if you ever have any issues they'll be more than...- MoonGred

Fender IEM (Aurisonics) Impressions, Reviews & Discussions Thread
I received my replacement pair of Fxa7s recently and couldn't decide whether or not I was going to keep them. After thinking it through I decided to leave them boxed and have just put them up for sale on the forums, I've currently got it restricted to pick - up or Australia wide shipping, but if...- MoonGred

Fender IEM (Aurisonics) Impressions, Reviews & Discussions Thread
China's output has been pretty insane in the last couple of years so I'll definitely check them out as well. The only concern with the A83 is that I saw a reviewer mention that he went through 2 pairs within a month both times because the connectors failed.- MoonGred

IBasso Audio IT03
While the bass is nice on both the Harmony and A7s it's just not worth it for me anymore. I've had 4 pairs in less than a years time, and I need to send them in again because now one side stopped working completely. I really want the check out the IT03s , as well as the A83. Thank god...- MoonGred

I've started looking around for earphones to replace my Fender A7s due to them breaking every two months. Some people recommended the IT03s, and from what I have read they look pretty great. Has anyone had any issues with build quality or the MMXC connectors causing problems?- MoonGred

Thanks for all the recommendations, I'll check all of them out. The Ibasso in particular really peaks my interest, will have a look at the A83's as well. Both fall into my budget as well, which is a massive bonus. Are MMCX connectors universally know for being flaky, surely something that...- MoonGred

To be fair this is my first pair of A7, I went through 3 pairs of Harmonys prior to this. It's gotten to the point where I feel like a dick for having to email Andy from Fender/AS on a monthly basis because they broke again. Handling times between AU and US are also appalling.- MoonGred

I can't believe I'm back with another faulty Fender IEM story. This is my 4th pair in less than a year and doesn't include ones that were repaired twice. The pair of 7's I've had for the last two weeks all of a sudden stopped working completely overnight. Last night on the commute back...- MoonGred

Yea this time will be the 3rd time that I'm sending them back, each time they work for about 2 months at most before breaking down again. I'm extremely careful with these things and don't use them in a weird weird way, the connectors are not under tension because of an odd angle, nor do I unplug...- MoonGred

I must be extremely unlucky to have it happen so many times in such a short time span. It's getting to the point where I've been without them for longer than I've had them. Ideally I don't want to drop another $800 AUD on IEMs because these don't work longer than 2 months at a time.- MoonGred
