Hifiman dont know that all they had to make is another He400 without the treble peak and it will be the best headphone ever, in mid tier range atleast.   Im just passing by to survey headphones that can complement my old He400, now Im thinking to get this or the HD600, are the HE400S neutral...

Yea I actually like the stock sound, the pleather makes the background more dark and there is some kind of impact when the music wants to, the velour doesnt deliver this, it feels hollow and dull, the vocals sound weird. Right now Im using the jergpads, it is alot better now

Ive been listening my HE400 in stock form, the highs and the recessed mids are sometimes disturbing, but I dont think its a big problem to me, I dont know, maybe because the cool things from these cans easily make up for those drawbacks, the highs also give much impact to the songs I listen...
