Did anyone solve a problem with Apple Music complaining the device is rooted? It looks like it broke when I replaced a flash card, but I'm not sure. Not the end of the world, but it would be handy to make it work again. Upd: I've forgot the app had an update. Thanks @kumar402

AKS DAC1851HPA + JH50 JM is just an awesome combo. Very, very tasty sound. I guess I'll add a tube amp and will never look back.

My DX90 was deeply modded by Sanmigel and I found Rockbox and Mango sound pretty similar, nothing synthetic. With latest rockbox, battery life is similar too. When DX90 is not modded, it's heavily dependant on all aspects of software processing including firmware footprint, etc. Even formatting...

  Knowles tool's diameter is slightly larger than #13 tubing inner diameter, no chance it will fit into #16.

Back in the day I used Sandisk 128G microSD with 2.3.0L1 firmware without any issues with latest rockbox. I have no DX90 anymore, so I can't check it out now.

Try formatting your flash card to exFAT, FAT32 whichever helps.

If you already use my (napych.com) rockbox build, you can just update .rockbox folder with copy and replace files. If you use Headwhacker's build, you should copy .rockbox folder to your player first and then install firmware with dual boot.

Latest FW version I used was 2.3.0+L1. People reported playback gaps later, I'm not sure if it is related to FW version. Anyways, you can return to earlier version any time.

Added latest FW made by @cholero to napych.com. @jongroove, you can upgrade firmware any time using mango software update. It doesn't affect Rockbox. Rockbox is stored on your player in .rockbox folder as files. Only one thing related to rockbox in modified firmware is boot loader. So upgrading...

Vouch for DX90. I found DX80 not interesting (sound-wise) for me. DX90 modded by SanMigel was good and comparable to full mods. I'm still waiting for DX90 it on aftermarket, but no luck yet.

Sorry, I'm working on very custom dap/rockbox now, had no chance to find out where's that option now.

It's not too hard, but needs compiling from sources.
