That is exactly what I think I need too. A companion. I've been auditioning the LCD 2 Classics for this very purpose.- jerazm

Stax SR-L300 Impressions Thread
So i just received my pair of SoCas vented padmods for my L300s. I'm using them with BrainWavz earpads (non-angled, since I figure that the L300 themselves have angled drivers). First impressions: upper bass is now boosted enough to satisfy bass-heads. Upper mids have gained some kind of a...- jerazm

Stax SR-L300 Impressions Thread
And it is for that very reason that I'm considering doing DIY (either a wooden stand or a box), even though I've never done anything like that before. Even pelican style cases are too expensive for someone like me who blew most of his expendable savings on the stax setup.- jerazm

Stax SR-L300 Impressions Thread
What do you guys use to store the headphones in? I live in a pretty dust-prone area, and so far I've been using the cardboard/styrofoam box that the headphones came in. It's too much of a hassle to take them out for every listening session. Plus, I doubt it will last very long.- jerazm

Stax SR-L300 Impressions Thread
I bought the L3100 system a couple of days back. The positive impressions in this thread being one of the reasons behind the purchase. I have the driver connected to the line out of my Fiio e10K currently, and I love it so far (without any burn-in). Will I see any form of improvement over the...- jerazm

Comparing the HD600 vs HD650
Hey, Me x3! Thanks for your suggestions. I am or rather was looking for a bass-centric pair to go with the Beyers. I had finalised upon the HD650, but unfortunately my 8 year old iPod decided to breathe its last a few weeks ago and I had to divert my funds towards buying a new DAP (Fiio X5 ii)...- jerazm

DUNU TITAN 3 Review by mark2410
Thanks Mark. I bought the Titan 3 after reading your review. I am not disappointed with the sound It is a very pleasant-to-hear signature, especially coming from the Klipsch S4 I have been listening to since over the past 3 years. The detail is magnificent, and the extension on both ends is...- jerazm

Comparing the HD600 vs HD650
HD600 are not officially available in my country from any channels, except on ebay as imports. And then they end up costing a lot more than HD650s. So I guess my only real choice is the HD650 at this point.- jerazm

Comparing the HD600 vs HD650
Thanks a lot for your feedback! No 600 available in my country . At this point I need a buddy for my Beyerdynamic DT880. Will the HD650 do or is there something better out there for that price?- jerazm

Comparing the HD600 vs HD650
I recently had the opportunity to audition both the HD600 and the HD650 on a recent trip out of the country (there are no places that I know of in my country where I can do that). Unfortunately, I do not own a portable amp, so I heard them straight out of the headphone-out jack of my android...- jerazm

The Beyerdynamic DT880 Discussion thread
Ok, read you loud and clear. Problem is there aren't many options for purchasing amps in my country, let alone trying out different ones. So budget amps are the only risks I can take.- jerazm

The Beyerdynamic DT880 Discussion thread
Forgive me if this isn't the right thread for this topic. I've been the owner of these awesome headphones for the past 3 months now. I preferred their signature over the HD600s and HD650s both of which were for demo at the place I bought them from. Those two sounded great actually, but when...- jerazm

Bose Companion 5 headphone out not as good as PC headphone out
Thanks a lot, billybob_jcv and PurpleAngel for your quick replies! I was using the front headphone out on my CPU. Turns out, it still sounds garbled. But, when I plugged the phones into the rear output, it gave me a decent sound. I am using Windows 7, which automatically sets the on-board...- jerazm

Bose Companion 5 headphone out not as good as PC headphone out
First of all, I'd like to say hello to everyone on this forum. I have been strangely addicted to everything headphone since the past year, and Head-Fi has become the go-to place for all my headphone related queries. Just browsing through the endless streams of threads on this site has helped me...- jerazm
