Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I LOVE the Chord sound. I've never tried the TT2, but I have tried the Hugo 2, so I'm assuming it'll be the same. They say that it has great emphasis on low end and is very detailed. That sounds right down my alley.

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

So i just sent back my loaners (DPhi and 1266 TC). As much as I loved the 1266, the form factor is a big deal for me on my desktop - especially as I'm jamming on my modular synth. So DPhi it is. Selling a bunch of gear to make the sale, but I'll have it within a month or two. In the end, I...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I'm really impressed with the quality of the bass on both the DPhi and the 1266 TC - so punchy. I listened to the Empyrean and felt that that the bass lacked "oomph". I'm running it on a Vitriolic 281 and I'm not missing anything in terms of impact. My main, if any, complaint is that I'm not...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

Thank you for your response nicooo. As much as I like the 1266, I'm starting to lean towards the DPhi for every day use. Even with the non-DMS pads, they're very wearable for long periods of time on my desktop (they're on loan as mentioned above). The TT2 seems like a great all-in-one...

Did you listen to the D800 pro? Can you tell me why you made that choice? From what I've read, it has a similar signature.

Didn't know it cost more. Lame.

No, the Diana Phi pads are now standard with the V2, but the DMS pads have padding removed from the top of the Phi/V2 earpad to reduce pressure.

I actually think the the 1266 is more comfortable than the DPhi, although it's a bit heavier. It feels pretty stable. I would probably run a $500 pair as my every day driver and this for when I'm wanting to music.

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

Listening to Gooey by Glass Animals - definitely more slam. I'm literally having trouble not crying... this is just another level. I wasn't really considering purchasing these... but now...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I hear you - I've got the Diana Phi's right now and although it doesn't have that overwhelming slam and elevation, the bass is pretty damn good... just not basshead levels of slam. I'm about to try the 1266 Phi TCs (in just a few minutes) to see if there is a marked difference in the bass. So...

DMF pads a must for me - already feeling the pressure above my temples after 10 minutes.

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I just got the two DPhi adn 1266 Phi TC and started listening to "Hello" by Above and beyond with the Diana Phi. LOL at the digital vinyl sounds that were added in post. They sound terrible (too much detail). Still love that song though. Just listened to Gooey by Glass animals to check the...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I'm getting my loaner 1266 Phi TC and Diana Phi today! I have a Violectric V281 Amp with an Ayre Codex DAC currently but am considering getting a used Chord TT2 to replace them both. I'm a guy who likes lots of bass, overall impact (as opposed to "soft" or "airy") and good amounts of detail (I...

Yeah...no way I'm uglifying the Diana with a ridiculous pad either. Share a pic?

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I've set up to have a "loaner" Diana Phi and 1266 Phi TC sent to my home next Friday (what an awesome service provided by the Cable Company - hat tip to sweetben for making me aware it was an option) . Looking forward to comparing the two on my Ayre Codex DAC > Violectric 281 AMP setup. I also...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I leaning towards the V2 over the Phi because I will be using them for all of my daily pc activities when not using speakers. Video games, YouTube, low and high fidelity music and electronic music production. But,I’ll probably demo both at the same time if they’re available from the Cable...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

Too many pages to read through here - sorry if this is a repeat question. I am trying to decide between the Diana V2 and Phi. Does anyone know any dealers who will let me try both/return one or do a trial before buying?
