I tried to do something like this while I was recording the GSX no matter what it would also get interference.

Battlefield 5 sounds amazing on my GSX 1000 with Philips Fidelio X2 I have Windows set to 7.1 with the GSX also on 7.1 and in game surround sound enabled.

Cant say atm I do tbh Do anyone else notice any difference after updating?

Did you first update the firmware updater? Once that is up to date it should show the gsx and its current firmware version and new firmware .

Thanks to a guy called Meat Wad on Youtube for the heads up. Firmware update released couple months ago. To update download the Sennheiser gaming updated, run the software I needed to then update the software for it to show the GSX has compatible. the new firmware will show up release notes...

I checked and mine is also doing the same now :( I just changed it back I will restart and see if it remains on 7.1. We had a bug like this on another Windows build also *** Microsoft.

Updated yesterday no issue here.

For gaming the Sennhiser GSX at this moment simply can not be touched. It's surround sound engine is really, really good. I wouldn't change the GSX for anything atm. My best advice to you would be buy it from somewhere that has excellent send back like amazon for example. If you do buy...

You doing it wrong, youtube doesn't natively support surround sound, only stereo. The only reason GSX videos work is because how they create a virtual surround sound. To test the GSX you need to download a native 5.1 or 7.1 test file. https://thedigitaltheater.com/index.php/dolby-trailers/

Windows fast boot saves my last used. But if I restart my audio gets reset. Think we need Microsoft to fix this.

Sorry but this new audio added into Csgo sounds bloody awful. Way, way to much echo and it doesn't sound normal at all. The GSX is 10x better than HRFT in Csgo. That's my opinion anyway.

My issue was very different then. My GSX doesn't reset to stereo anymore, I had an issue with Windows Store apps not opening and not loading the audio services correctly. After I fixed that my GSX now remembers 7.1

When you restart and are at the desktop, does your speaker have a red cross bottom right? And says something like audio services not started?

Yeah I had red cross at start up and GSX would reset to stereo. Now that I fixed the Windows store apps my PC boots correctly with Audio no red cross and GSX remains 7.1

I own the GSX and not yet updated to latest windows version.. I really want to this weekend for these new performance boosts! is it just the GSX defaults to stereo on system restart ? Does everything else seem to work fine?
