Open Back Headphones with short cable length?

Thanks for the extra information guys. I forgot to mention that I won't be using an amp with these. Does it even make sense to purchase anything in this price range if an amp is not going to be used?

Open Back Headphones with short cable length?

Great suggestion but it looks like the ear pads on the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pros's are the same material as the Sennheiser HD558's which my skin can't stand. For whatever reason, that kind of material makes my skin itch uncontrollably. If they are in fact the same material, is there another...

Open Back Headphones with short cable length?

Will the Q701's stay put during head movement? I picked up the Philips SHP9500s headphones and while very comfortable, they loose their position on my head when I look down. Also, how fatiguing are the Q701's? I ask because I have tinnitus and ear pain from acoustic trauma. :(

AKG K 240 MK II Headphones good choice for someone with Tinnitus?

I thought I would let everyone know that I decided to go with some Philips SHP9500s open backs and have found them to be very comfortable. AKG K 240 MK II Headphones good choice for someone with Tinnitus?

I really appreciate your reply and tinnitus really does suck. I should of mentioned that my primary use for a pair of headphones would be for Virtual Reality. I've heard that the soundstage open cans provide, really add to the feeling of being present in a virtual world. I would be inside...

AKG K 240 MK II Headphones good choice for someone with Tinnitus?

Hello, I would like to know if the AKG K 240 MK II Stereo Studio Headphones are a good choice for someone with noise induced Tinnitus? I understand that they are considered “semi-open” headphones. I want the sound stage of open headphones but if I were in a noisy environment, having to turn...

My brand new Sennheiser HD 558's itch?

I just purchased some brand new Sennheiser HD 558's. They sound amazing and are super comfortable with the exception of the ear pads causing an itching sensation. I also notice I have red rings around my ears after longer periods of use. What can I do to alleviate this problem? Thanks.
