Ok, aparently if you have a press, you can make a wood block that will hold the ring and let the driver slip through. Heat it with a hair dryer then press it out, the drivers may or may not survive but since your trying to do a transplant that might not matter.

well, dont take my word as fact, but i belive you have to do what is called "liberating" the driver, and i think that envolves destroying the ring.  I suppose you just might beable to heat it and slide it apart, or steam it, but its risky because you would be putting alot of force on the...

How do you like that headband? I am looking at upgrading cans to wood, and I might even try and turn them myself if I am brave enough.. problem is the headband I made for mine (see above if your wondering) would probably scratch the wood since it touches the cans on top slightly.

I'm sure if it does not fit right on you could make an adapter? Cut it out some of needed? (Pad)

Yea theres still glue I need to take off from the brushed plates that came on it, but they got scratched so I took em off. R just a placeholder for now.

Not exactly tube rolling, but i don't see to many other popular threads about my amp specifically. My 336SE has a hum that is barely detectable at low volume, and fairly noticeable when no sound is playing, gets louder as i turn up the volume, still there with nothing but a power cord in it...
