Shanling M3X Portable Player - Our smallest Android Player
Is the LDAC support only possible through Shanling's own audio player app or is it possible to somehow enable LDAC for all audio apps? When I connect my Soundcore Space A40 earbuds to the M3X, the display only shows SBC next to the bluetooth icon.- Pete7874

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
FYI, Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro is currently on Lightning Deal on Amazon for $99.99. Thinking of giving them a try to see how they compare to my old 2 Pro.- Pete7874

Shanling has been talking about the addition of gapless support in their native audio player app being a top priority, but it looks like they're still not there yet. Gapless works fine in Poweramp on M3X.- Pete7874

So which version of Google Play Store should one download from apkpure? The mid January version mentioned earlier is no longer available on apkpure.- Pete7874

Shanling M3X Portable Player - Our smallest Android Player
Anyone here own both M3s and M3x? My M3s broke recently, and I'm thinking of replacing it with M3x. The Android-based DAP has appeal to me. How different do these two DAPs sound? I did like the sound of my old M3s. Does the M3x sound much different? Thanks!- Pete7874

BT adapter with good mic quality?
I'm trying to turn my Philips X2HR headphones into a wireless headset for PC calls. I am currently using them wired with an attached boom mic. I realize I will lose audio quality by going BT route, but I'm willing to sacrifice some quality in order to detach myself from the wire. There are...- Pete7874

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
You may be alluding to two conflicting sets of requirements here, I'm afraid. Higher sound quality requires more bandwidth, which means it'll be more susceptible to interference/dropouts at the same distance as a lower bandwidth/lower sound quality connection. This page has some info on...- Pete7874

From a sound quality perspective, there should be no difference, assuming both devices (DAP and phone) support the same BT standards. Main difference is from a convenience perspective and having a dedicated tool for the job.- Pete7874

Volume controller?
Thanks. Yeah, that's even more expensive than the Nobsound, plus having to deal with XLR connections would just further complicate things for me.- Pete7874

I use the Liberty 2 Pro with Shanling M3s almost exclusively. I have no complaints with M3s. If I have any complaints, it would be with L2P - they still sound too bright/shouty to me, even after turning the highs all the way down in custom EQ.- Pete7874

Volume controller?
Can you guys recommend some basic volume controllers for PC? I mean something like this Nobsound: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GRLV7XG Is this one any good? Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (On or Over Ear Headphones)
Does this happen at certain distance from the device/transmitter, or even when your headphones are right next to it? I've tried 4 different BT headphones and IEMs in recent months and haven't noticed frequent drops with any of them at close range. Obviously, BT is not meant to work over...- Pete7874

Another vote for X2HR - they're very comfy once you stretch the headband out to reduce clamping force.- Pete7874

$50 wireless full-size headpones options?
Quick update: I bought the H12, and while sound quality is quite good when connected via cable, it is rather disappointing when connected via BT, which would be their primary use. Granted, my kid wouldn't really care at this age, but I plan to use these when he doesn't, so I wanted to get...- Pete7874
