I've no interest in MQA snake-oil. I only use my M11. I guess, therefore, there is no gain to signing in.

Beware of any online store that hides its address, company reg details and has only a form to contact them. All these are required by UK law. I'll stick to the legit sites.

On the X5 3rd gen, while use of third party players was possible, use of the DAC and chips to get the best sound wasn't possible. There was specific DLL files to use. From the posts above it would suggest this is no longer so. Can anyone confirm? Anyone from FiiO?

Fiio have indicated the inability to add Google services is due to Google's restrictions on Android versions. Cannot upgrade Android on this machine to satisfy dependency requirements.

I use mine with the se535 earphones. Together they work wonderfully.

No sign of these in the UK yet. Would be good to see a review. I currently use the Shure 535 with LinumG2 SuperBAX cable, on my X5 3rd gen. Keen to understand the sound differences and how they compare. I haven't found any reviews from the usual websites yet.

Have you tried enabling USB Debugging Mode in Developer Options (you'll need to enable that) to see if that helps? Apologies if this has been suggested and tried.

Why don't you sell it and buy something that doesn't? You're not forced to continue using it.

If you take your file name example, the date of release is there in the file name. 20170323. Or if you prefer, 23/3/17 (23rd March 2017). Easy. As for which update was released in May, go for the latest, 1.2.1, and work backwards. The website links will download the files you want.
