Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Been using one Aegir on a pair of M3 Turbo S for a week now (24/24), and it works beautifully! (powered them with one Vidar before) Saga's pot position is about 2 hours more than before, with plenty left in a 14'x12' room. Of course, they stand three feet from the front wall, and could use a...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Guys, it's only 10 pins, what could go wrong? (seriously wouldn't be that complicated to hook up...if it was available as a stand-alone part!)   That being said, just got my saga, still burning the tube, but it's a confort I've been waiting for a long time now!!    Can't get a Vidar fast...

iFi Audio Pro iDSD discussion thread

In all fairness, it was (a not sot so wild I think, but still) a guess. And a way to test your reactions (and iFi's). I've done the same when the Regen got out, when multibit schiits got released... It's going rather fast these last months and I can't imagine what it's like to have announced a...

iFi Audio Pro iDSD discussion thread

I guess the iDSD Pro has been delayed (again) 'cause iFi's been waiting for the new XMOS chip (XU208) to be released and since then worked their asses off in order to custom-code the hell outta it !

Schiit Fire and Save Matches! Bifrost Multibit is Here.

Well, have you stacked it differently since you own it? In my case the temperature change was due to Bimby not being sandwiched between two running amps anymore...

Schiit Fire and Save Matches! Bifrost Multibit is Here.

First encounter with the Bimby distorted congestion : repetable from 44.1 (clean)  to 48 kHz (distorted) until I cycle the inputs, then 48k plays fine. Next track is 44.1k again, and come out distorted ! Repetable again this time from 48k to 44.1kHz!! Strange...   I've got my Bimby since early...

    Android phones and USB DACs

Hello guys,   I just got an Asus Zenpad running lolipop, I've tried it on three different DACs (Ifi micro IDSD, Schitt Bimby, Teac AI-301DA) using two different OTG cables, symptoms are the same : there's some sound but mostly an annoying continuous, cyclic 'tick tick tick' above it that I...

Schiit Fire and Save Matches! Bifrost Multibit is Here.

No need for Mike, direct from Schiit's Bimby FAQ page :   What’s this about a non-oversampling (NOS) mode? For 176.4kHz and 192kHz input sample rates, Bifrost Multibit passes the music right along—no digital filter, no oversampling. Have fun! Upsample lower-rate music with another algorithm...

Schiit Fire and Save Matches! Bifrost Multibit is Here.

Had the same problem on 7 and XP   Only fix is to first install the driver for the CMEDIA chip and only then install the Schiit drivers CMEDIA driver is installed by asking windows update to perform it. I guess one needs internet access? (don't know if the driver is a generic one). The chip...

Schiit Fire and Save Matches! Bifrost Multibit is Here.

Bimby has finally woken up!!  :D   It took a coax plugged in its rear end to make it sing then it accepted to install the USB driver.   Now to get back the use of my mouse/keyboard in win7... well, maybe tomorrow. Gonna listen to some music now

Schiit Fire and Save Matches! Bifrost Multibit is Here.

Yup, it does.   Meanwhile I succeeded in locking me up from win7 by disabling the auto install of drivers and then mistakingly uninstalling the USB dongle from my bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Can't  even access a USB wired or PS/2 mouse now (as it still needs some driver installing...

Forgot to add that to the list of 'tried'... Also tried the ASIO drivers.   What's strange (?) is that I have access to the chip firmware, since it appears as Schiit USB Audio Gen 2 in the device manager. Some Windows schiit is at play here for a change...

Range: micro Model: iUSBx   Ouch, that might be a mighty challenger to the UpTone Regen paired to their soon to be released power supply add-on! The only question will be how much better is it? You guys are keeping up with seriously active and imaginative contenders (mainly Uptone and Schiit...
