What are the best IEM's under 1000$?
I used both earphones with my Huawei Ascend Mate 7. I personally feel the SE846 drives with a cleaner sound right out of the phone while the W60s need an external amp to make it sound its best. W60s do sound decent out of the phone, though the sound isnt as full. From personal preference, I feel...- Valkayrie2

What are the best IEM's under 1000$?
From personal use of both earphones. I feel the W60s are more the all rounder type earphone which has the more laid back and smooth signature while the SE846 has a very strong presence with its sound attacking punchy bass with forward mids. From what other people have been saying though, the...- Valkayrie2

Ultimate Ears UE 900 Discussion and Impressions Thread
My pair sounds great. Just like what previous posters have said though, they sound better with higher volumes which is a slight shame as I listen to fairly low volumes.- Valkayrie2

Just received my pair today. My pair seems to have the unibody design and as of yet, no cosmetic flaws or cutouts.- Valkayrie2

Ultimate Ears UE 900 Discussion and Impressions Thread
Was thinking about taking the plunge into a new set of UE900s. From the build quality issues of the UE900, its slightly concerning. Has there ben any reports of UE900s having the same issues?- Valkayrie2

Earphones with superior isolation and fit without compromising sound quality?
It has been seen that with the ever increasing amount of driver inhabiting modern balanced armature earphones that the earpiece will be enlarged. With enlarged earpieces, the striking problem becomes creating a balance between superior fit and isolation in conjunction to exquisite sound quality...- Valkayrie2

VSonic VSD5 Impressions Thread. VSonic's answer to Sony's EX1000???
Some very bold statements you got there But honestly the build quality is in respective to what activities you are performing with the earphones. If you are doing heavy and intensive activities such as sports, you may want to invest in earphones are built better because no matter how careful...- Valkayrie2

VSonic VSD5 Impressions Thread. VSonic's answer to Sony's EX1000???
My apologies. When I replied with a dead pair I was referring to going dead faster than expected. I am in no way exclaiming that the VSD5 will come DOA. I was purely speculating a shorter lifespan. 'Dead pair of earphones' was used as a figure of speech. My apologies for the misunderstanding.- Valkayrie2

advice on upgrade to cIEM
If by the odd chance that your CIEM does not fit you would have to ship them back for a remake of the ear mould which could potentially take even longer. There is also the odd chance of dramatic weight change, altering the shape of your ear, requiring you to get another refit. After reading some...- Valkayrie2

VSonic VSD5 Impressions Thread. VSonic's answer to Sony's EX1000???
KC06a are built pretty well so I wouldnt be worried about their build quality. Seeing the negative 'build quality' connotation surrounding Vsonic, it would have to come down to what you value most and how rough you are planning to go with your earphones. I guess no-one wants a dead pair of...- Valkayrie2

advice on upgrade to cIEM
Seeing as you have limited IEM experience, wouldnt it be wise to take a plunge into high end universal market first? That comment wasnt meant to be rude. My reasons for this is the simple fact you can recoup a major portion of the money back should your investment deem unfit for your desired...- Valkayrie2

High End Universal IEMs
Im planning on getting my first high end universal. What brands and model numbers would you recommend I read up on. My budget would be around $600-700. I've read on headfi that the law of diminishing returns is apparent, would you still recommend investing in high end universals?- Valkayrie2

Noble Audio universals isolation?
Ive used the Heir audio 4ai.s which seem to be the foundation of the nobles. They look pretty similar and the isolation on the Heir was pretty poor in my experience.- Valkayrie2
