DFR itself is a bit bright sounding. It will lift any headphone's treble a bit. Only you can decide if you want just a tiny bit more treble.

My experience is the exact opposite. HD650 with my Mojo sounds bass lean with plenty of details. Maybe your music has tons of bass? HD650 can't do bass well. Too much distortion and lack of extension. 

I'm not a big fan of Asgard 2. I felt the transparency level of it is below par. My mojo certainly is multiple levels more transparent than it. It does have tons of power though. So if you love planars, they are a good entry level amp. The Elear deserve much better amp.

After burning them in for 1day, the dynamics certainly improved and treble is more present. Before burn in, they are quite dark. Now they are a bit sibilant. Before burn in, they are definitely darker than HD650. Now i would say they are in between HD600 and 650.

iI usually use them with Mojo, It's absolutely neutral. No bloat in anywhere. Just fast, detailed, lots of depth and smooth sound.

  Oh wow. I had the CDM before. I didn't realize that it is so capable! It seems likes the transparency of the source plays a much bigger role than sheer power in 'driving' a headphone.     This is extremely helpful!
