Hifiman HM901S New Flagship DAP
I had the issue a few times. With no reason. Then it worked again. Light was green and it has to be red while charging. However charge worked some times even if it was green. Did they ask for the bill for the battery ? When mine died they did not replace it because I lost it.- SAR14

Hifiman HM901S New Flagship DAP
They asked me for dap alone, and I use my former battery with S. They would not replace battery unless it has an issue and it is under warranty. I tried because my replacement one was dying (now dead) but I bought it too long ago (battery warranty period is shorter) They said that they were...- SAR14

I owned a HD 600 and really did not like it at all. 2 years later I had a chance to listen it again on my theorem 720. Awesome potential when paired well.- SAR14

When you use the LO you use an external amp instead of the amp card, so both amps are not running, so no consumption for amp card.- SAR14

They are really different. Body heavy for 901. More speed, air and details for 901S. S can sound lean at firts when you directly jump from 901, but it is very balanced in fact. Not easy to forget the huge body of 901 with a short listening time. It takes some time to accustom to the S sound but...- SAR14

If you compare to a stock Victor you get the right appreciation for Pandora. I tried a Denon D7100 and it is the closest one to Victor, but still different. If you listen what some people would refer to as "real music" (jazz, blues, classic rock, and some pop) the Denon is (very) good. But...- SAR14

I have no link for the cups because the guy who handcrafted them is retired and Casques-Headphones.com (yes it was in France by the way) did not find someone else to replace him and its work quality. I had the chance to test TH600 for a while and it can be really aggressive compared to the...- SAR14

Pandora Hope VI is more clear and detailed than stock Victor. I prefered the Pandora over the Victor on sabre based chips. Modded Victor is an allrouder killer. In stock version it has extra coloration and bass are deeper but not as clean as Pandora. It will depend on your gear and preferences...- SAR14

The 3 seconds start up time is a trick because the power off acts like a sleep mode (so be carefull if you do not use the player for a while). In the options menu you can perform a proper shut down, and when you turn it on it does not take 3 seconds !- SAR14

They are back again on price japan. They were out of stock lately. If these are not fakes, you should hurry up because I bet it will start becoming very hard to find them at a decent price (I mean a cheap one, not the release price tag or even higher)- SAR14

Hifiman HM901S New Flagship DAP
Just a few hours of listening time yesterday and I have to admit I am a little disapointed. Sounds good in some aspects, but old 901 with my N4 was THE set up, and I miss some body with the S version. Can someone confirm the S is less powerfull on unbalanced HO ? The new steps are great, but I...- SAR14
