Looking for a "fun" IEM.. Currently have Senns IE8's
Thanks guys for all the advice, I ended up with the SE215 LTD and wow, love em! Nicely balanced, precise and bassy enough but not bloated at all. The only problem I see is that my iPhone has a case on it and the plug will not fit with the case on. I know LifeProof makes that extension but was...- rjruiz

Looking for a "fun" IEM.. Currently have Senns IE8's
Awesome thanks! How do those compare to the Atrio MG7's? I've read reviews on both and the only thing that is really steering me away from the MG7s are the lack of mids.- rjruiz

Looking for a "fun" IEM.. Currently have Senns IE8's
Hey guys, So have had my Senns IE8's since they came out so for a while and love 'em. I am a bass head and listen to lots of heavy heavy metal. Not looking for high end audiophile IEM's, just something fun, something that'll make me bob my head. But I'm also looking for something that's well...- rjruiz

iPhone 5 + ie8's portable amp options worth it?
I had a feeling it was going to be more trouble than it's worth regarding the amp option. I keep reading posts and threads about the issue with making lightning LOD and alternatives, but just doesn't quite work. I appreciate the recommendation on that app, I'll definitely check it out! Thanks!- rjruiz

Ah okay, I must have missed that thread, but that is what I feared. Thanks kramer5150. Btw, I had a guitar like that when I was younger ;)- rjruiz

Can an EQ app for the iPhone 5 hurt your IEMs?
Nice! I love Grado's, I have a pair of SR80's somewhere that I can't find (so mad at myself). I'm relatively new to amps and headphones myself, but I've heard that Grado's in particular do come alive with amping. ;)- rjruiz

iPhone 5 + ie8's portable amp options worth it?
Hey y'all, looking to improve the overall SQ of my iPhone 5 + ie8's setup. I am relatively new to the portable amps and LOD's. The first and foremost question is would I really benefit from amping them? If yes, recommendations? Would I benefit from an LOD? I'm having a hard time finding an...- rjruiz

Can an EQ app for the iPhone 5 hurt your IEMs?
Okay thanks! I see what you mean about the gain to offset the increase, makes sense. Sidetracking a bit though, what about using an LOD/amp to improve the SQ of the iPhone 5? Seems Fiio never made an LOD for the lightning connector on the iPhone 5?- rjruiz

Can an EQ app for the iPhone 5 hurt your IEMs?
First off, I am no audiophile but I know a few terms from working with car audio for a short bit to include crossovers, curves, EQ, clipping etc.. Here's my equipment; iPhone 5 utilizing the app: EQ 10 Equalizer for the iPhone 5 by David Ross and my trusty Senn's IE8's set at a little more then...- rjruiz

Best portable Over the ear headphones for iPhone 5, possibly 6 soon..
Well there in lies the problem I figured. Yes, huge difference when I press against the headphone cups, especially on the lower part close to below/behind my earlobes near my neck. So try the gain to around -13.4db? And yes that's a 13dB boost at the lower end "1" curve. I figured that was a...- rjruiz

Best portable Over the ear headphones for iPhone 5, possibly 6 soon..
Finished about 26 hours total of burn in last night. Downloaded an EQ program for my iPhone 5 and I think I've tweaked it the way I like it. I am no audiophile but this setting sounds pretty good to me. Just curious if there are certain things I should watch out for; gain settings, clipping...- rjruiz

Thanks, I think I've exhausted messing with the placement and adjust headbands but still can't get that good seal. Perhaps there's a mod I can do with the ear cups themselves? Add more stuffing? It looks like they are all stitched up though.- rjruiz

Best portable Over the ear headphones for iPhone 5, possibly 6 soon..
Thanks! I definitely will. I have them burning in right now connected to an iPod with some heavy metal. I compared to some old Senn's I had and I can definitely tell a difference with SQ, the hp50's sound better and different. I am no audiophile by any means, but I guess I've unfortunately...- rjruiz

I'm going to give them a few days or so and see what happens. I think the seal is the issue here. I apply a bit of pressure behind my ear lobes with the phones on and makes the world of difference. Perhaps I have a small head? Bass Boost EQ on the iPhone works better but I loose some of that...- rjruiz

World Wide Stereo. I didn't think it would change much which is what is worrying me. The Bass boost EQ on the iPhone helps, but I hate to use that to get that decent amount of bass out of it. With the phones one applying a bit of pressure towards the back of my neck helps quite a bit.- rjruiz

I just received the headphones today and tired them out for a little bit. I have to stay I’m a bit disappointed with the sound quality. There is absolutely no mid-bass and bass at all. I’ve tried both cables and made sure they were inserted properly on both sides. I also tried 2 different...- rjruiz

Aren't the k845BTs 50mm drivers? Not sure if that makes a huge difference. The HarmonKardon BTs was another choice of mine.- rjruiz
