I'm in the same situation got 1 i would like to buy it, but this one is 600 ohm... so i don't think it can be combined.... But you are a real trooper :)

I don't listen to classical music, but i've heard it from time to time in the past with the 540... It's outstanding with any kind of music (i've got a wide taste of music) very detailed and pleasant to listen to.   So i would suggest to buy one, if you can get one :)

I was wondering if this is fixable?   Last week from all of a sudden only the left side of mine headphone works... So i desided to open it up and try to connect the lose wire which is connected on the main thing (don't know what it is called in english)   I don't think this will be fixable...

I agree with most of you, this one is by far the best headphone i have ever had. I've got one it's over 25 years old and i never changed the parts, which i really need to :P

Yep, so country, jazz, pop, classic, rap, hiphop, soul etcetera :)

So yours is the HD600 ;)   With best i mean : Overall, over-ear. I see i wrote 'open' which isn't necesarry
