Not much more than the R7HE (2021). If I hadn't purchased my R7HE in October 2020, I would jump on this.

The R8 is a great DAC and I'm sure it will make you happy.

I owned the R8 and sold it for an upgrade to the R7HE (2020) and I can tell you that as good as the R8 was, the R7HE is significantly better in effortless dynamics, power, width and depth of soundstage, and more holographic presentation.

I'm finally at a point where I can try the update. I have pressed the red update port button to erase my DI-20 and when I click on "start update step 1" I get "looking for device..." "Please erase the device" what am I missing?

I just got my Master 2H monos a couple of months ago and really love them, but that new HE version looks interesting.

It looks like this is only available in Mainland China due to the weight of 100 kilos.

This is great news! I ordered an Audio 5 and Dubravko shipped it out on Monday of this week so it should arrive soon. I'll be pairing it with an R7HE (2020) and an NFB-1. I can't use it to my preamp as it's the Vacuum HE1 XLR, which doesn't have ACSS inputs.

I probably won't be able to get it until next month. I spent a ton between the Master 2H and the Balanced Vacuum HE1. I will share my impressions once I've been able to get it.

I was noticing the same the last time I went to the Audio-GD site. I'm glad I got my Master 2H monos before they were discontinued. I'm sure whatever replacements Kingwa comes out with will be spectacular. I have a balanced Vacuum HE1 coming on Monday and will get an LP-1MC to complete my setup...

I have three Nimak power cords and they are really good. I recently ordered a pair of Master 2Hs and will try them with some older PS Audio cords I have, but I may ultimately purchase a Nimak X-25 or X-30. I use X-25's on my R7HE and my preamp and they make a huge difference over the PS Audio...

I just bought my R7HE. I'll be interested to see how the 2021 upgrades improve on an already stellar DAC.
