Thank you very much! Going to burn in

Hi nepherte,   Was your D1 dac arriving within a suitcase?   I received my D1 today, packed in a cardboard instead of a suitcase, and no hard copy of users' manual.

  Sounds like the problem I've met. That proves to be a false alarm and my DAC found dysfunctional. You have to try your CD Player using both RCA and XLR (if available) first, and had better to borrow another DAC with XLR output to rule something out.

Now I'm a lucky guy.   The problem has been ruled out and my new GS-X mkII proven to be perfect! The cause of the noise lies in the balanced module my CD player......unexpected......It suddenly gets a cold.   Thanks for Justin, and the suggestions by twsmith, icebear, ogodei

I guess I'm a bad-luck guy. Upset indeed .   I received my GS-X mkii this afternoon.  All as good as expected until the 4-pin XLR jack was inserted. I heard obvious sizzle noise from the left earspeaker, louder when I volumed up or chose higher gain setting. I tried different input lines and...
