Oh n00b2, you've done it again, thanks for your awesome help! Got around this odd volume glitch as instructed.   Just hope I don't have to do this every time when I'm using usb mode, might look into viper4windows as suggested.

@NeoteriX I bought a pair last week but did not manage to get the USB driver to install on Windows7 laptop (auto install when plugged in but failed). Just curious how you managed to connect using USB to computer for listening via it's DAC/Amp.   Could not find any links to download usb...
