Schiit Asgard 3 - Impressions Thread
The 600 OHM Beyers were my only cans for years with my LaFigaro 332C. Serious Synergy there. I got the Asgard 3 and they were comparatively running a little bright for me. I purchased the Dekoni Hybrid pads for them and it is a very nice pairing indeed. Plenty of power for the 600 OHMs in the...- squishware

Schiit Asgard 3 - Impressions Thread
With the Asgard 3 with Multibit card I am resolving enough to be able to clearly hear headphone cable differences with either of my headphones. I previously did not *really* believe you could. Pretty amazing for sub $700 system off an optimized laptop. Me wanting to try Unison could be...- squishware

The original Bifrost was perfect for my needs but the tech got better. Progress is a bitch. Don't read into this that I am not LOVING the Multibit Card. I want to hear what I am missing.- squishware

Size the chassis by necessity. Not balanced. No remote. Unison. Multibit. Price using the existing algorithm.- squishware

iFi Audio ZenDAC
I admit to being curious about MQA on a DAC that can render it. I know it is bunk on one that can't. If it comes in at that price I will most likely find out.- squishware

I suspect it has more to do with your Windows box than the Asgard 3. Have you tweaked it for audio? The multibit does not resolve above 24 bit and in my opinion sounds best at 16/44.1 FLAC. Try it!- squishware

On ear cans for straight out of a LG V40 ThinQ
I am considering this phone and it should work great straight to some easy to drive cans. My cans are both famously hard to drive and not portable. I do not want anything IN my ear. What is the usual answer for portable on ears (80 ohms or less).I am comfortable paying around $250 for something...- squishware

I am at lunch listening to the Asgard 3 stream Tidal through Audirvana set to lossless 16/44100. Norah Jones Come Away with Me (Album) through my monitors is giving me HIFI chills.- squishware

Tidal Masters & MQA Thread!
I changed the settings on Tidal to disable MQA. It was just a source of additional noise on my non-MQA DAC (Schiit Universal Multibit Card). Lossless/FLAC 16/44.1 just rings like a bell (in a good way) on my system running ASIO>Audirvana.- squishware

Since I am no longer upsampling I switched back to the ASIO2WASAPI driver that Schiit uses to listen to their products. Still at 16/44.1. STILL HAVING FUN!- squishware

The Asgard 3 with the Universal Multibit Card is an Excellent, Mid Fi, One Box Solution. All the options recent posters are lamenting about are covered by other products in the line (they sell preamps). For the money I doubt you can do better and if you can I bet you don't get a five year...- squishware

Windows update updated my Driver and the upsampling seems to have taken a fidelity hit. The bright side is the 16/44.1 sparkles with high fidelity now. Might try switching if you got the update.- squishware

ZMF Classic MK3 - discussion and impressions
I am going to buy some thicker pads for the Beyers. I DO LOVE the ZMF Classics with the Asgard 3 with Multibit Card. I have been switching back and forth with both of these and they are so different that it makes sense to keep them both. I do not DSP or EQ so switching cans is my EQ. Some things...- squishware

Here is where I am sitting on settings now. Running Tidal (HIFI) Using Audirvana to upsample all file types to 24/192 including MQA files I had to switch back to WASAPI to upsample Sounds Bloody Amazing to me.- squishware

Is there such a thing as an audiophile music player for windows?
Currently auditioning Audirvana. Seems pretty slick. Interfaces seamlessly with Tidal. I have it set to upsample everything to 24/192k and I swear it sounds better. It also buffers the file so that playback occurs as if the stream was ON your HD. Having too much fun with audio!- squishware
