Thanks. And there´s no replacement consensus over there. Guess the K550 is meant to be disposable, as the earpads are gone after all. No original replaceable earpads so far, except if should I live in the US.   Cannot believe this.

Cannot believe there´s no original replacement for the earpads. Were they supposed to last forever? Or is the K550 disposable once the earpads are gone as the owners should figure out how to replace them with what comes in mind... Or buy another unit...   AKG should have a better customer...

My K550 earpads are gone (foam disc cover material kind of riping apart on the right side and a bit on the left side, despite not so intense use. As I live by the sea I suspect of intense air humidity, but I´m not so sure what may have caused it.).   Anyway, can you tell me where should I find...

Which is the song (or songs) that you, K550 users consider reference, or that extracted the most of the headphones qualities for you?   I have it for about three months and still get amazed sometimes, specially with acoustic music. But, there´s always space for more knowledge in terms of music...

Well, joining the club.   Plugged it directly into the PC motherboard´s sound terminal (Realtek HD audio). So far, I found a bit strange the great "audio transparency" and details as I was upgrading from a Philips wireless headphone, which sounded terrible, which I had used for years.    So...

I´m also searching for a good (under 100) DAC for my pc. I found the FiiO e07k and the Sabre USB DAC 2 by HiFime DIY good choices so far. BTW, my phone does not have this impedance you mentioned. It´s only 32 ohms.
