You are already using them unshielded, so I wouldn't bother with that. I'd either just put some sleeve over them or maybe even cut close to the end of the current sleeve.

I can't say anything about their sound, but Feliks audio headphone amps are all OTL, so they only work well with reasonably high impedance headphones. Doesn't mean they won't work with low impedance ones, but the sound will suffer a bit, specially in the low end. They recommend about 80-100ohms...

I second that in a way. Although my LCD-X is great on the WA6-SE, it like it even more using speaker amps with some resistors to lower the power a bit and the noise floor.

Me and some friends were comparing the Bifrost 2 sourced from a CEC TL1 CD player and from a NUC running Roon Rock. The USB sounded better than SPDIF, less harsh sounding. Not that the SPDIF was harsh per se, but the USB was slightly better.
