Best Choice of Closed Cans - $250 or less

I stopped looking for headphones after I bought the DT770-pro. I also have AT A900 and it's no competition; partially because the Beyers are just that comfy (AT = pleather, Beyers = velour). They even sound surprisingly good straight out of my laptop. Now I only have to sort my portable rig.

So, time to upgrade? I donated my socket 939 system to my dad, he's been happy with it for about a year. Went intel myself.

How do you take your coffee?

If homemade, with sugar. If other (dubious) source, milk and sugar. Helps mask the taste

dag nabbit! when are these going to be available where I live... the release in Finland has just been pushed back because of high demand on other markets, real nice. oh well, I could always order one from Germany where they're abundant and the keyboard setup is similar. I even have a cousin...

Dilemma: KEep 595 or return for A900??

Just got my A900s today and have yet to find a genre which they don't do well. Truly a jack of all trades! They sound much better out of the box than my HD555 did. I got mine from Bluetin and the delivery was quick and their responses to e-mails were fast and good. I would recommend them.

    Closed phones for the cheapass

You might want to consider the Audio-Technica ATH-FC7 and Creative HQ-1700, same difference except for pads... These are also supposed to be pretty good and they are in stock in Verkkokauppa.com and Serv-IT. Again, haven't heard either , but was considering these a while back. Read more here

oh no!! its upgrade time again

I started out with the EP630s (which are very similar to the cx300s) and later got a HD555 and I'm still well happy with both... however I also have PortaPros and have just ordered A900s, so if you want to keep some spare cash, I suggest cut your losses and run like the wind Nah, just kidding...

    Looking at Sennheiser HD555

I actually have no idea as they were "testphones" in a high class department store, so they could have been anything from a year old to brand spankin' new. Thay seemed a bit worn though, so I suspect they were pretty sufficiently burned in. Of course I don't expect anyone to make their...
