I wonder why is that. I mean, aside from the fit which is uncomfortable for some, it's a really great IEM. The new Drop JVC HA-FWX1, on the other hand, is about 300% of the sale price of JVC HA-FDX1. I'd say the HA-FDX1 still has much better value.

It's on the corner of the gray-ish part. Not on the silver where the name is printed. You might be right, although I don't see how the oils would reach that area.

Going 3 months now. I barely use it, never used it outside the house, can't remember any instance where it got wet. I'm not really sure what caused this. The corrosion can be observed near the corner where the JVC HA-FDX1 is printed, not on the silver part. How about yours?

I have noticed some parts of my JVC HA-FDX1 corroding. Has anyone got the same experience on their units? The weird thing is, only the right ear piece has got some rusting.

I have both. Both are really good, IMO. You can get the 2XR, and treat them as your beaters, like I do. I got them for $70 new though.

I have the ER2XR and from memory, the bass of EPH-100 has more rumble and it hits harder. In terms of quantity, the ER2XR has elevated sub-bass only while the EPH-100 has both elevated sub-bass and mid-bass. I wouldn't consider the bass of the Yamaha's as bloated. It also doesn't bleed on the...

Yamaha EPH-100 is back in stock at Newegg for $50, shipped and sold by World Wide Stereo. They are also available on Amazon but they are listed for $55. These are wonderful sounding IEMs. The only caveat is they could suddenly stop working.

Could you compare the LitzPS and LitzPS Pro if you have them both? I'm curious if there's any significant changes in SQ.

Last I heard these Yamaha EPH-100 was 5 years ago, and I still consider it as one of the most enjoyable bass I've ever heard to this day. At $50 it is definitely a steal. The only issue back then was the build quality. Some had drivers that would suddenly stop working plus the cable is very thin.
