No news yet from Hifiman about the broken headband of HE 500

 So what? I didn't have any official answer from the company. Do you still need my 50 euros for the replacement of the headband ?

Thank you for your answer. I had sent a message in the customer service form and an e-mail message and asked for the replacement of the headband (cracked left plastic cup) for the HE-500 (bought November 2013), and someone from the company replied and asked me to sent 50 euros to head direct's...

Hello do you know if the headband on HE-400, HE-500 doesn't covered by warranty ?

No i never had this problem with my BCL. No gain when i hook up the DENON AH-D7000 and +10 gain with HIFIMAN HE-500 but i have never heard anything.

No of course i don't expect such a review. Maybe in the future. I just hope some reviewer will describe the behaviour of this interesting DAC/AMP with "difficult" headphones like HE-500. I also have DENON AH-D7000 and i am really curious about this unit.  Thanks for your answers.

I use planars with Meridian Explorer and i am very happy with it. I need something more powerful than Explorer, even if it is not portable but not so bulky and expensive and i think that DA-300 meets my wishes.Looking forward for any review that covers the unit as headphone amp.

Maybe it is my fault because english isn't my native language but after reading the review i still don't know if the DA-300 is capable to drive my ΗΕ-500 and how it stands next to my Meridian Explorer..

Any news about the DA-300 test? Looking forward for any impressions. I have DENON AH D7000 and HIFIMAN HE-500, and Meridian Explorer. I wonder if the DA-300 can play louder than Explorer with HIFIMAN HE-500.

Hello I have HIFIMAN HE500 in a really portable setup that includes Meridian Explorer as DAC/AMP and a BCL original as amp.sometimes. All these are in a drawer and i listen every night when kids are sleeping for about an hour and then i have to repack and put them in the drawer again...
