I agree wholeheartedly! Special props go to Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory. Fantastic album that sounds divine through a good setup. As we speak I'm actually ripping their newest album to foobar and am pretty excited to give it a listen.

I own the SE215s so they automatically get a +1 from me. They have known issues with the cable connection to the actual housings but Shure has such a great customer service reputation I wouldn't be too concerned. Another option would be Beyerdynamic's MMX 101 ie. I haven't heard them personally...

Have you tried contacting the company? From what I've heard from others and experienced on my own (my very own SE215s are actually being repaired right now), Shure's customer service is excellent.
