Hi everyone!! Before I begin, I apologise if there is a similar post somewhere in the forums ( if there is, thank you for guiding me to it ). Recently I bought myself the new Sony WH-1000XM3 Bluetooth NC headphones and needless to say, they sound awesome!! Currently I'm using them paired up...

    Sony WH-1000XM3...wired?

Hi headphone enthusiasts! Recently I've ordered the new Sony WH-1000XM3. I've tested them in person and I must say they were one of the best bluetooth cans I've heard. But something just occurred to me...what if the juice in the cans ran out and I had to used a powered-down pair of cans via...

AKG 551 vs 550 (sonic only)

Personally I feel that the AKG 550 is way superior in both its build and sound quality. I definitely prefer the thicker cable of the 550 and the richer sound of the 550 compared to the 551. That said, with a good amp, I guess the AKG 551 could be on par with its older brother.

    Beats Studio vs Quietcomfort 15

Well, since you put it that way, you should cross Beats out of your list. PERIOD. If noise cancelling is really an important factor for you, none does it better than the Bose QC15. They are and I reckon will continue to be the gold standard for a long time to come. The UE doesn't even come close...

    Closed Headphones for classical music

Hahaha...liked your last paragraph. I imagine the on-ear version to be akin in-ear earphones. :)  And please forgive the few of my missing words here and there...but I guess you get the overall pic. :) I haven't had the chance to try the K-550 but would the weight ( compared to the momentum...

    Closed Headphones for classical music

Would it be right to say portability-wise it would be as portable as the Momentum? i.e. big and bulky. Well, I guess that's something i'll have to seriously consider. Looking at the impedance, I'm just wondering if it's easy to drive the K550. And regarding the ear cups, since the momentum's...

    Closed Headphones for classical music

Thanks for the reply! I really wish I could try out the SRH840 and KNS8400...it sounds like a great classical music pair of headphones.  Now all I need to do is to find a place which sells them so that I can try them out. :) Will the monitoring headphones make listening tiring after a while due...

    Closed Headphones for classical music

Hi everyone! I'm an avid classical music fan but I do listen to a whole variety of music too, namely Jazz, Vocals and Pop. Rarely do I listen to Club or Techno. Currently i'm using the Bose OE which has served me well for many years but I'm looking to upgrade to a better headphones. Any...
