    Etymotic MC5 or JVC Marshmallows?

Yeah, I plan on using them to sleep with occasionally. I already have the Shure SE215's which have the same design as your linked one. I just want something that has the same level of sound isolation, but does not have to be worn around the ear, like with the memory wire the Shure and your...

    Etymotic MC5 or JVC Marshmallows?

I had been thinking of that, so it seems like they wont fit  I think ill just get the JVCs. I can try them out and see if they are good, if not, I can always return them and get the Etys.

    Etymotic MC5 or JVC Marshmallows?

So im ready to place my order on Amazon to get it to my door tomorrow because I am an impatient person. My choices have come down to either the Ety MC5 which sound perfect, but are much more pricey than the JVC's. The JVC HAFX32B Marshmallows are my other choice, and only for less than $15...

The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

That sounds awesome! I think it's safe to say we can all only hope of a marriage like that lol. It would be awesome to catch her reaction when the bass bomb drops.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Well I guess the SZ2000's just aren't for me completely, like always. I guess I need to drop some serious cash to get exactly what I want, but I'll check out the recommendations I got. For now, I'm taking a break from the HeadFi game, I've spent too much lately...

The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

I know what you mean. I'm also trying to get rid of them by selling them wherever I can, but no bites so far :( In the meantime I take them out sometimes, but it's disappointing to me. I can see how others love them, but they're just not for me... I feeling I know too well. I just want clear and...

The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

Goddammit, these SZ2K's are tricky bastards. I want to love them, and sometimes I do, but theyre just not perfect. I keep going back and forth on the fence about keeping them or not. It's fun to experience the bass they offer, but that's about it IMO. Just a fun thing occasionally, but sure as...

Shamelessly advertising mine for sale again. Im also selling my pair of JVC SZ2000s. They come with the carrying pouce, stock pads, and are fitted with pads from a JVC HAM55X. No defects or scratches/marks on anything. Dont want to try and upstage Akuma4u, so I wont list my price right here, but...

A new unofficial amp I hear? Happy to see new some movement is happening. Random question, but has anyone owned or listened to a pair of Fostex cans? Like the TH600s or 900s?

It's been a while since I came back on head fi and this thread, but I'm still alive. Hey its been a short while with my SZ2000's, but I'm putting them up for grabs to a new loving home. My SZ2000'S have been at the post office for a few days now, I'm so ******* anxious to get them now, but haven't had a chance, hopefully tomorrow. If I only had a car of my own... Also have had V4A for about a week, but the stock Samsung player doesn't want to work with it, neither does Google...

The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

Is it just that it amps it so well enough that it gets overall very loud and the bass is louder too? Or does the bass improve specifically?

Dude you have the magni!? I've been really wondering how the sz2ks are with a magni. How is it? How does it compare with an E12 or E11? Is the bass with a magni really rattling enough?

Just got V4A and it's pretty nice. Doesn't work with the stock music player on my GS5 though. It has a lot of extra options and stuff, so that's nice for tweakers, but I'll just be using the EQ. Overall, very satisfied with it since it just works.

The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

Don't feel bad or dumb, we all start at 0 for whatever subject. Well, the list on page 1 still applies. The top one is the best bass hitting set, and the last is the least of the list. So I would recommend the JVC SZ2000 for best and biggest bass. It's just that for maximum bass out of the...

The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

look at the first page. Lists the top 10 extreme basshead cans (headphones) and is extremely detailed, also videos. You can look at them and form an opinion of each of them or even decide which you want. Take into account the descriptions, video demos, prices, sizes, etc. Best one is listed...

Same boat, most with the SZ2K's listen to hip hop, but I listen to dub, trance, even Reggae and DnB. Sounds like they should be good with the genres though

Very well might be. I always assumed the EQ switches on the E11 and bass switch on the E12 manipulate the circuitry or something in order to affect the low end only. The reason I am skeptical that it would increase total power output is because when i have the bass boost off and then turn it on...

The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

Agreed that not enough power is not good for overall performance. I was meaning that for bass, it's not about chasing the most power output. ---- On another note, anyone recommend an EQ for Android? My current one only has five bands, like most on the play store, and is being a bitch to work...

The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

I believe there was a bit of miscommunication or a misconception. We are not going for just output power, that is partially irrelevant to larger bass. A simple way to explain it I guess would be that output power does help with all spectrums of the sound, including bass of course, but only...

Nice. Good to see good EQs on Apple, I thought they didn't allow them and when I used to use apple, I wasn't into audio. That EQ looks way better than mine too.

The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

For Android, it's called just Bass Booster. I don't know if it's also on iOS, I'm not even sure if iOS supports third party eq's or if there are any good ones on the app store.

The unofficial amp for the extreme bass club here is the Fiio E12. It is designed to be portable, but I suppose you can use it as a desktop amp as well if you want... Just make sure to charge it up every night. With a typical Li-Ion battery, you want to keep it topped up to prolong the life of...
