    Topping D30 DSD DAC XMOS/CS4398

Looking to get the d30 soon. Anyone tried playing games with it? Does it have any noticeable delay?

Tried both and i prefer the spiral dots to the spinfits. The bass seems to be a tad stronger on the spiral dots although the spinfits are more comfortable.

Personally, i would give the A4s a week and after that go back to the ZS6. I've tried this on iems that don't give me the instant wow factor. Most of the time i'll go back to the A4s. The ZS6 is pretty bright, you can try the black front black rear filters or even the blue front which i think...

Shanling M3s - dual AK4490 DAC, 2.5 balanced out, aptX BT, HiBy link, USB out, FW 1.7

Testing the iOS app now. Album art preview is rather blurry. Could it be that my art is 500x500? And no more fiddling around with the dap in my pocket! :beerchug:

Shanling M3s - dual AK4490 DAC, 2.5 balanced out, aptX BT, HiBy link, USB out, FW 1.7

The m1 and m2s have USB out. So I assume it would be the same for the m3s. Would be weird if it doesn’t have this feature.

Just curious why would you want to do that?

Shanling M3s - dual AK4490 DAC, 2.5 balanced out, aptX BT, HiBy link, USB out, FW 1.7

I'm starting to feel that i'm the only one who don't think that the m3s are bright. Changing the filters doesn't seem to make a big difference for me so i'm just staying with the sharp filter. Yea that crack is kinda annoying  I thought i cracked it by accident after throwing it into...

Shanling M3s - dual AK4490 DAC, 2.5 balanced out, aptX BT, HiBy link, USB out, FW 1.7

UI is a lot easier to navigate though not as good as my ipod but its already quite easy and smooth to operate. First thing that came to my mind is its less bright than my X1 but that's not to be confirmed. Bass seems to be tighter. Will need more time before i can come to a conclusion for the sound.

Shanling M3s - dual AK4490 DAC, 2.5 balanced out, aptX BT, HiBy link, USB out, FW 1.7

Just got my m3s. Initial impressions are quite positive. Using it as a dac on windows doesn't seem to require any driver installation. Holding it makes me feel like i'm holding a brick but it feels quite solid. The cover seems to obstruct a little of the knob but i think its fine...

    Audio-Technica IM50, IM70 Discussion Thread

For those who broke their pins: Decided to change the connector to mmcx. The housing can be opened by pushing a pen knife along the seams near the connector and gradually split the shells apart. The hole for the connector is quite big so the mmcx won’t be secured like this. Also it will move...

Shanling M3s - dual AK4490 DAC, 2.5 balanced out, aptX BT, HiBy link, USB out, FW 1.7

Unfortunately I’m using an iPhone now. If I’m not wrong it’s not available for iOS yet?

How’s the navigation for songs like? I just preordered through a local store and will hopefully receive it by the end of this month. Does it take very long to scroll through? It was a chore trying to find specific songs on my FiiO x1 which was so frustrating that I went back to my iPod video.

    Home-Made IEMs

Managed to find out the cause of it. I'm using knock-off shure shells and there were some gaps between the nozzle and the acoustic tubing. Used some uhu glue(not the best option but the only thing available) to seal off it off. Now both sides sound identical to my ears. Cheers!

    Home-Made IEMs

I don't have a tool to measure them for now and my ears are fine. The difference in volume is quite drastic with me needing to up the volume a lot to "ear match".

    Home-Made IEMs

Hi everyone, I just started making my own iem using a single ed 29689. The results were quite good. However one side is a lot softer. I thought it could be my tubing was not sealed to the driver. After adjusting a few times the problem remains. Before I assume it's a faulty driver, any ideas on...

    LZ-A4 Impressions and Discussion Thread

Not very keen on taking it apart :cold_sweat: I'm bad at soldering. Gonna try to stick something in between the connections and tighten them. Edit: On a side note, currently enjoying the grey/red combo. The greys help to tame the highs and it feels less fatiguing while the red seems to add a...

    LZ-A4 Impressions and Discussion Thread

am i too late to join the club now? :joy: just got my a4 a few days back. Currently using the black/black filters. The grey front filters are nice but i feel the black are slightly more resolving. The red green pink filters sounds weird to me. It feels like everything became softer. Are my...

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)

Today is the 45th day since I ordered the 2016 UEs and it still hasn't arrived. I remembered I was the first ten to order it. Easy kept telling me to wait and he sounds optimistic about it although I feel the parcel is lost. Not gonna fault easy on this. Sorry for the rant. Meanwhile I'm...

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)

Yea when i first got it the firmware was 1.4 i think and i immediately updated to 1.6 because i heard there was an issue with the scroll wheel on older firmwares. I used to run on vol 32 on my im70s and the x1 could last about 6 hrs before dropping one bar of battery. With an amp you will...

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)

I had an ipod nano 7g before buying the X1 and my first impressions for the X1 were that the interface is kinda slow. Ipod has the smoothest UI experience so far for me so it was a little hard to adjust to the new interface. Sound quality wise didn't notice a big difference except its warmer...

Sounds like the Easy UEs are better than the im70? That's great! I should have ordered the mic. The transparent one looks nice here as opposed to the one on the website... and having a mic is actually quite handy sometimes.

Just received a message from Easy informing me that mine was only shipped out yesterday even though I also placed my order on the 10th. So I guess it's different for everyone. For those still seeing electronic information received on their tracking information can message easy about them. Now...
