Pioneer HDJ-2000. Great closed circumaural closed phones that are marketed as DJ headphones, but are pretty great for regular listening. Built like a tank too.

I had a pair of these last year and I thought the sound was pretty great; balanced with a lot of detail. The two issues I had with them was the clamping force and the twist-on speakers. When I wore them, I felt like I had a vise grip on my head - I couldn't wear them for more than an hour...

It might be snubbed by some audiophiles, but you can get Skullcandy Aviator's for around that price. They've gotten decent reviews for what most would dismiss as a fashion headphone.

Harman unveiled a new one that looks pretty interesting - JBL Synchros S400BT. Been looking for a set of BT headphones, so I may wait for these. Uses apt-X and looks pretty durable. Will wait to see how good it sounds though to see if it ranks up with Sony's MDR line.  ...
